The Gundam Wing story is a branch off of the Gundam Universe. Now, instead of being in the Universal Century time, you see the Gundams in a new time line called After Colony (AC). The year is AC 195, and the power hungry secret organization OZ (no not The Wizard of Oz) have malliciously tried expanding and taking over the colonies. Five elite warriors and their Gundams launch from there individual colonies to five seperate stations on the Earth. Many soldiers of OZ know of the existence of the Gundams and also of Operation Meteor (Info about Operation Meteor is after the story overview). One of these soldiers' name is Zechs Merquise. After finding and battling a nearby Gundam, Zech's starts to wonder if the four other cpasules sent down to Earth were also Gundams. The other four capsules were in fact gundams and as soon as they reached the Earth, the Gundams started destroying many of the OZ bases. The series and the books both introduce the Gundam Pilots in this order: Heero Yuy, Trowa Barton, Quatra Raberba Winner, Duo Maxwell, and finally, Chang Wufei.
