| Sweet Vengeance Part 1 by Kass Shakespeare Disclaimer: Bla bla, you know it. Feedback: Please! Dawn was running down the street, tears streaming down her face. Her sobs made it hard to breathe and she felt a sharp pain in her side as she continued to flee from what just had happened to her. But the physical pain was not as hurting as the pain in her heart, which seemed to tear it apart into thousands of pieces. She just had to run, couldn't stop or look back. Although the pain in her side was almost unbearable she couldn't slow her steps or she would break down, not able to stop crying. She didn't notice where she was running at. Instinctively she made her way to the only place where she would find someone to comfort her, to help her getting over this pain and the only one whom she could tell what had happened. As Dawn reached the door of the crypt she suddenly hesitated. What the hell was she doing here? She had to think for a moment. Was this really worth all the pain, all the tears she cried, for him? She looked down to her bare feet. Dawn had lost her shoes on her way from the party and her long light blue dress was dirty from running over the cemetery. The pain and grief was replaced by anger and rage. How dare he doing this to her, how dare he making her lose her new and very expensive shoes and ruining her also new and even more expensive dress she had bought specially for this evening? She brushed away her tears and took a deep breath. She really needed to talk now, letting out all her anger. Dawn knocked on the door and then opened it after she heard him inviting her in. "Hello little bit, what are you doing here so late? Your sister will be worried," Spike said as Dawn slowly walked towards him. "Hi Spike," she replied with a weak voice and he could see that her eyes were red from crying. Spike quickly got up and walked to her with an expression or concern on his face. "What happened to you?" Dawn felt the tears well in her eyes again and she looked down on the floor, biting her lower lip. "Hey, what's wrong?" Spike asked and cupped her chin with his hand, lifting her face up to look into her sad blue eyes. "Steve," she said, her voice trembling. "Everything was just so perfect," she said and sighed deeply. She folded her arms across her chest and walked up and down the crypt. "And then he had to do this!" An angry growl escaped her throat. Spike stood still and listened. "I hate men! They are bastards!" "What did he do?" Spike asked worried. "We were supposed to meet at this party and I bought this dress, and and the shoes just for him." She was almost hysterical. "The dress is nice, pet, but a little dirty," Spike said, still not knowing what she wanted to tell him. Dawn briefly rolled her eyes and then continued to talk. "So I went into the house and asked if anyone had seen Steve. They told me he was upstairs and I went there, opening the doors to the bedrooms." She started crying again as she lived through what had happened once more. "And then I found him in a room.He was." Dawn collapsed on the big armchair and covered her face with her hands, starting to sob again. Spike sat beside her on the edge of the chair and rubbed her back gently. He knew how this feeling was, knew how the pain seemed to tear you apart from the inside till everything that's left of you is sorrow and grief. He knew how it felt to being betrayed by the one you loved. "He was fucking this silly bitch, this blonde I-am-horny-and-stupid-wanna-get-laid-whore Sharon!" she almost screamed out the last words and rested her head on Spike's shoulder, as he put his arm around her. She sobbed on his shirt while he was stroking her arm, trying to comfort her and taking away a little bit of the hurt inside her. "Shall I kill him for you?" he asked honestly and Dawn stopped crying for a second and looked up at him. "No," she said. "I wanna see him suffer, but I don't want him to die." She was screaming for vengeance. "We will think about something," Spike promised and hugged her tight. "He said it was okay that I didn't want to sleep with him. He said he could wait," she cried softly. "What a bloody wanker," Spike said. In his whole unlife he had done some real bad things but he had no understanding for this. If this guy had cared about Dawn he wouldn't have cheated on her. He would have waited until she was old enough and ready to give herself to him. After all she was still so young, only sixteen, almost seventeen, but still a kid, although Spike had to admit she had all the charms of a lady. If he had been her boyfriend he would have waited forever and feeling honoured when she would finally give him the gift of her purity. When he loved somebody he was loyal and faithful. "He's not worth your tears," Spike said after a long moment of silence. "He didn't love you. If he had he wouldn't have done this to you." "No, he didn't love me," she agreed sadly. "I want him to pay for making me think he did." "Again, shall I kill him?" Spike offered. "No, that would be too much, besides that I don't want that your head will hurt for days." "It wouldn't," he answered and smirked. Dawn eyed him sceptically. "I think the chip is broken or something. I fixed the TV some weeks ago. Passions was on and the friggin' thing didn't wanna work. Suddenly it overloaded and I got shocked, think that toasted the chip, not my brain luckily." Dawn knitted her eyebrows. "How do you know it's broken?" "Well, I ran into some guy last week who wanted to start shit with me and I was so angry that I hit the bloody wanker. Nothing happened, no pain in my head," Spike explained. "Maybe he was a demon?" Dawn suggested, not believing this something as simple as electric overload could ruin Maggie Walsh's work. "No, sure as hell not, he was human." Spike saw the look of concern in her face. "Don't worry, little bit. I wont go back to being all evil again. I mean I am still." he paused to make a dramatic gesture, "evil, but not like that. I wont kill anyone, 'cept for maybe some murderers or so." He shrugged. Dawn smiled briefly but her eyes still looked sad and hurt. Spike had to think about something to make this bastard pay for what he did to her. Nobody would hurt her without punishment. "I have an idea," Spike said and got up. "What is it?" Dawn asked full of hope that he found something really embarrassing and humiliating for Steve. Spike grinned evilly. "I think we're going to a party." ~ To Be Continued ~ |
