| Dancing Part 5 by Kass Shakespeare Spike went to bed after Dawn had left his room. He wanted to get some sleep because he hadnt slept last night. It didnt take long until he closed his eyes and fell asleep. Now my Spike is in love with the Slayers sister, he heard a familiar voice. Dru! What are you doing here? he said and sat up in his bed. The little bird is flying around in your head, she said and motioned around his head. Spike couldnt say anything, he wanted, but he couldnt get any words together. Drusilla giggled. You want the girl now that you cant have the Slayer, because my Angel came back to her. She made a squeaking noise at the last words and put her hands to her head, holding it in pain. The soul no longer makes him suffer. She looked at Spike again. But this isnt about my Angel, its about you. She gazed at him with wide opened eyes. You dont belong with her. You arent meant to be all soft, you are meant to be evil! She whispered the last word in his ear. Spike still couldnt speak. He wondered how Dru had found him and what she had done to him so that he couldnt talk or move. Remember what you are, she said, slowly walking away from him. Spike sat up in his bed. It was completely dark in the motel room and he switched on the small bed lamp. Dru? he asked but got no answer. It has only been a dream. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dawn told Jim that she had to be at home for another family evening and couldnt come with him to the dance club. He understood and let her go. Training had been better today and they really got far with their program. Dawn was proud of herself and happy that it went better again. Maybe she was in such a good mood because of Spike and the kiss. It had been wonderful kissing him. Actually, it had been the best kiss in her life. She took the bus to Spikes motel and arrived there short before ten. Spike opened the door after she had knocked and she immediately hugged and kissed him. But he didnt return the kiss. Sit down, he said. Whats wrong? she asked worried. It was really nice seeing you again, he said and Dawn smiled. But He sat down beside her on the bed. I shouldnt have kissed you. Dawn looked at him shocked. Why? Its just not right. You are the Slayers little sister and I am a vampire. Last time I was in love with a human You are in love with me but dont want to be with me? She felt tears in her eyes. I didnt say I was in love with you. I just mean, when I was in love with the Slayer, it wasnt right. After all I am an evil vampire, and if I hadnt this bloody chip in my head I could kill you. You would do that? Dawn could hardly hold back the tears. I didnt say I would. But maybe yes, why not. He shrugged. I cant believe you are saying this, Dawn said with a weak voice, her big blue eyes looking at him sadly. Well, I do. I like you Dawn. I like you more than any other humans and if you like you can visit me again and we can talk about music, he said as if nothing happened. Dawn got up and looked at him angrily. Buffy was right. She said we cans trust an evil vampire but I was so stupid and fell for you. She almost shouted now, tears already streaming down her face. Now dont get all upset. What did you expect? A nice fluffy happy love story? I am a demon, I have no soul like the poof. But Dawn turned around and rushed out of the room. She didnt want to wait for the bus, so she walked all the way back home and cried. How could she have been so stupid? It was her own fault when everybody treated her like a kid when she was so nave and fell for a vampire without a soul. She swallowed her tears and rubbed her red eyes before she entered her house. She didnt say anything to Buffy or Angel and just went to her room, collapsing on the bed and crying herself to sleep. As Dawn woke up she immediately called Jim and told him she was sick. She really didnt feel like doing anything today. She pulled the blanket over her head again and closed her eyes. She asked herself over and over why she had been so stupid and fell for Spike. And she asked herself why he had to be so cruel. He had been so nice and sweet and the next moment he told her it was just a mistake that shouldnt have happened. She was angry, sad and felt totally miserable. Short before noon Buffy knocked on her door and entered. Hey Dawn, is everything okay with you? Dawn sighed and looked up to her sister. I just needed some more sleep. I didnt get enough of it in the last week, she lied. Okay, but can you do me a favour later? Buffy asked. What is it? Anya needs help with cleaning her house. She cant do it alone and Xander is at work, because they needed him this Sunday, I have to go to Giles because he found some prophecy and Angel cant go out in the daylight. I promised to help Anya and thought maybe you could do that. Okay, I will go there in a while. Going to Anya was a good idea. Dawn liked her although she was a little weird. Thank you, Buffy smiled and left the room. After taking a shower and getting dressed Dawn walked to Anya. They didnt live far away and it only took her about ten minutes to get there. She knocked on the door and Anya opened it. Hello Dawn, where is Buffy? She didnt come, had to check on some prophecy with Giles, Dawn explained. Oh, but she wanted to clean my house, Anya pouted. I am here to help you instead. Can I come in now? Okay. Anya walked to the kitchen, holding her back with one hand. Can you clean the windows? Anya asked and Dawn nodded. She took a bucket and filled it with warm water and started cleaning the windows. There is a colour spot on the window. Xander Junior made it with a pencil. Anya sat at the kitchen table and watched. Dawn started scrubbing the spot but it didnt disappear. Damn, she said and scrubbed harder. Why wont this stupid spot go away? She started crying. Oh, its not so bad. If it doesnt go away just clean the other window. But Dawn started sobbing real hard and collapsed on the floor, leaning against a cupboard. I said its not so bad, Anya said and walked to Dawn. Its not about the stupid window, Dawn cried. Oh, what is it then? Anya knit her brows. Do you promise not to tell it anyone? Dawn asked through her tears. Okay, promise. She smiled friendly and slowly sat down on the floor beside Dawn. I visited Spike in his motel. First we talked about music. It was nice, Dawn almost chocked the last words because she wasnt able to hold back the tears. That is good, Anya said. Is that good? It was. Then he kissed me before I left and it was wonderful. Anya raised her eyebrows again. And why are you crying? Will you let me finish? Dawn said a bit upset. Okay, go on. I came back in the evening and he was suddenly totally different. Then he told me that he didnt want to be with me. He said he was an evil vampire and I was the Slayers little sister and it wouldnt work. Dawn started sobbing again. Oh, men are such jerks sometimes, Anya said and hugged Dawn. Poor Dawnie. Dawn sobbed on her shoulder. Hey, should we look if we can find any nice spells? Anya asked cheerily. I mean I dont have my powers anymore, but maybe I find one to curse him and make his penis rot off or something. Do you want to make his penis rot off? No! Dawn said. Okay, I dont know if it would have worked anyways. I hope you will never do something like that when Xander does anything bad to you, Dawn worried. Oh no, I dont want his penis to rot off. I will still need it. And he has a nice penis. Dawn laughed briefly. Hey, you are laughing, that is good! Anya said happily. But are you laughing about me? Dawn laughed again and wiped away her tears. Thank you, you always make me laugh. But I still feel terrible about what happened with Spike. I know, but maybe everything will turn out well, who knows, Anya shrugged and tried to get up. Ugh, can you help me. I am too fat to get my ass up. Dawn pulled her to her feet. Maybe I will have to make Xanders penis rot off before he does that to me another time, she said and pointed to her big belly. The two women laughed. Anya had told Dawn that she would find someone else to help her cleaning and they spent the afternoon drinking tea and talking. Dawn could talk to Anya about all her feelings towards Spike. She was the only one who understood her and didnt warn her how dangerous Spike could be. She felt much better when she got home than she had felt that morning. Dawn went to bed early because she wanted to go training again the next day. She couldnt let her problems get to her and prevent her from preparing for the contest. She wanted to win it and she had a chance with Jim. She sighed sadly but then laid down and fell asleep. |
