| Dancing Part 3 by Kass Shakespreare Spike left his motel room short after sunset. He had slept all day and wanted to get out a bit now. He pondered about knocking at Buffys door but changed his mind immediately. Maybe she wouldnt be happy to see him again. And he didnt come back just to get staked the very next day. Instead he wanted to check if Willys bar still existed. He stopped for a moment to light a cigarette and then walked down the street. Its been nice seeing the kid again. Wait, Dawn was no kid anymore. She was a beautiful young woman now. Spike thought she must be as old as Buffy was when he left town, around twenty. He couldnt believe it. Time flies, he said to himself. It wasnt far from his motel to Willys bar. He walked around the last corner on the way as he suddenly saw Angel coming out of the bar. He wanted to turn around again but Angel had already seen him. Spike, he said, not looking happy to see him. Hello peaches, Spike said, trying to hide how annoyed he was. What are you doing here? I wanted so go to the bar and get some drinks. Maybe beating up some demons. How are you doing? I am good, Angel really wasnt in the mood for small talk. I heard you can shag the Slayers brains out now without loosing your pesky soul. Angel growled faintly. Why did you come back? On cmon, you could at least give me a welcome hug, Spike said sarcastically and spread his arms. Angel just glared at him. I take that as a no, the blonde vampire said and smirked. You shouldnt have come back, Spike. Listen mate, he rolled his eyes. I am not here to cause any troubles. I still have the bloody chip in my head. Besides that, this is a free country. I can be wherever I want. He walked past Angel to the bar. Stay away from Dawn, Angel said with a threatening voice. Spike turned around once more. I didnt look for her, we met on the street. Just stay away from her, or I Or you what? Dont think I am afraid of you. I can hit you, you arent human. He grinned evilly and entered the bar. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dawn came home around ten. When she entered the house she heard Buffy and Angel talking. I went back to Willys once more later and he told me that Spike had a room in the Motel at Kings Street. Well, maybe we really shouldnt worry too much. He still has the chip, you say? Buffy asked. They hadnt noticed that Dawn had come back. He said that, but we dont know if he is lying. True. Dawn just wanted to say hello as suddenly another idea came to her mind. She grinned and headed back out of the house. What was that? Angel asked and looked to the hall. What? I just thought I heard something. Must be the wind, Buffy said. What did Giles say? Angels wanted to know. Well, mainly the same as we did. We cant trust Spike. We dont know what hes planning, nothing new. Angel nodded. I have to patrol now, wanna come with me? Buffy took Angels hand and kissed him. Okay, he said and returned the kiss. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As Dawn arrived at the motel, she didnt know which room Spike had. She went to the reception. Good evening, I would like to know which room does. She didnt know which name Spike used. The man at the reception eyed her sceptically. There was this guy in a bar. He left his purse there and there was only a card of this motel in it. I dont know his name but he has bleached blond hair and wears a black leather coat. Dawn smiled. This was really a good lie. Oh, I know who you mean. He has room number 23, the man said. Thank you! Dawn headed for his room. Number 23, there it is, she said as she stood in front of the door. She hesitated for a moment but then knocked. Nothing. She knocked again. Bloody hell! she heard from inside. A few seconds later he opened the door, wearing only a towel around his waist, his hair wet. Oh, you, he said with an annoyed tone. Okay, maybe not the best moment. I will go, Dawn said a little disappointed. No, its okay, come in, Spike said and walked to the bathroom where the water was still running from the shower. Wait a second, I will get dressed. Spike came back from the bathroom and quickly grabbed his clothes from the bed. You can sit down here, he said and pointed to the bed. Dawn sat down and watched him walking back into the bathroom and closing the door behind him. She looked into the mirror which was hanging on the wall across the bed and saw that she blushed. She hadnt expected seeing him half naked. Okay, here I am again, Spike said as he came out of the bathroom. He sat down on a chair that was standing beside the bed. Hey, she said, still blushing slightly. Spike noticed but didnt say anything. What brings you here this late? he asked. I just wanted to see how you are. I am fine. Could be better but I am okay, you? I am good. Wait a sec, how did you know where I am? he wondered. Dawn couldnt think about a story she could tell Spike so she just told him the truth. Angel said you were here. I mean I heard him telling Buffy about it. Then the next question is, how does Angel know I am here? He said he went back to Willys bar and asked him, Dawn said. Spike growled angrily. Willy, that bloody bastard. Dawn thought Spike was angry that she found out where he was and looked down on her hands sadly. Oh, I am not angry that you are here, luv, he said, reading her thoughts. I am only angry that Willy told the poofAngel I mean. Dawns smile came back. Buffy and Angel really freaked out when I told them you were back. I know, met Angel today. He didnt even want to hug me. Spike pouted jokingly and Dawn laughed. What? Dawn said as Spike eyed her. Nothing. I just cant believe how grown up you are now. Oh, she smiled. At least somebody notices that I am not a small kid anymore. Is Buffy still treating you like her baby sister? Absolutely. I think for her I will always be a baby, especially after mom died. She felt like having to take her role after that. Yeah, I know, Spike said. You know, I always liked your mother. She was a great lady. Yeah she was. She liked you too. But now tell me, whats been going on in Sunnyhell while I was away, Spike demanded. They talked for a good two hours about everything and everyone. Spike told her about the places he had been. Mainly Europe, Paris, Prague, Berlin, Rome, London and many other cities. She told him everything about how Willow and Tara changed the curse and about Anyas and Xanders wedding two years ago. What happened to the other chick, the brunette? Spike asked. Cordelia you mean? Yes, Cordelia. She is still in L.A. Finally became an actress. She plays in a soap opera and had a small role in an independent movie last year. Dawn said. She looked at her watch. It was past midnight. Oh crap, I should go. Have training tomorrow. Training? the vampire asked. Dancing, Idance, Salsa. There is a big contest in two and a half weeks and I have to train a lot. Interesting, Spike said. Well, you should rather go then and get some sleep. Yeah, I definitely should. Dawn didnt want to go. She wanted to stay all night, talking with him about old times. But she had to go. She couldnt risk not being able to do her training another day. She got up from the bed and walked to the door. Spike followed her and opened it for her. I wish you good luck for tomorrow, he said, holding the door. Thanks. Dawn smiled. It was nice talking to you. You can come again if you like, he said. Okay, Dawn nodded. Good night, Spike said. Now or never, Dawn thought and quickly kissed him on the lips. Her heart beat went faster. She normally didnt just kiss guys like that. Night, she said and Spike looked at her surprised. Before he could say anything she left and pulled the door closed. Spike smiled. I stayed away from her. Looks like she cant stay away from me. |
