Welcome to
RoseArbour
~
Located at the Hedges Homestead in the scenic Pacific Northwest, we are nestled between
Mt. Adams, Mt St Helens and Mt Hood.
RoseArbour is a small hobby kennel devoted
to raising healthy, structurally sound show & performance dogs with endurance
and heart. This means you might find us in a local AKC, CKC, Sieger
or european-style shows, or testing our paws at performance
events!
Be sure to check out our carting page!
We're also adding several videos of local shows and dogs, training sessions,
articles we've written,
and carting lessons. They can be found through our Add'l Contents section. Also pics taken
at the USRC Nationals and local ARV Sieger Shows and Trials. |
|
We have been privileged to own dogs titled and/or ranked Top
10 in Conformation, Herding, and Obedience. Additional interests include
camping, fishing, hiking and biking with the dogs.
Our goal as pet owners is to have intelligent dogs that are a pleasure
to live with. Our goal as occasional breeders is to bring into this
world a dog that has the correct temperament, breed-type and structure to
"do all" but most importantly to be a healthy & cherished family companion.
We're an active family so a dog that joins our home must be able to keep
up! |

Stars" of RoseArbour! |

"Blossom"
Blossom is the daughter of our beloved Sam and Lexie. She is a
pistol.
She never holds still, she embraces life with great passion, and she
makes her owner
Carlie laugh and smile every day.

Have you met our favorite tailed girl "Wags" ?
V3-rated '06 ARV NATIONAL SIEGER SHOW!!
Congratulations Wags and
owner/handler Teresa! We are so proud of Wags!
She's owned by our friend Teresa of Neu-Rodes
Rottweiler fame. Wags also has 9 CKC points!
Wags occasionally found herself vacationing here at RoseArbour as a
puppy and youth dog
and therefore, she needed a webpage too. So without further ado,
check out her
HERDING page!

With pride and joy, the HedgesHomestead shares with you dogs of our
past.
They live on in our memories and through their relatives still with us.
It is so hard to see dogs grow old.
Even harder for the dogs when their minds are still sharp
but their bodies grow tired.
Rest and be free, my beloved pets:

RoseArbour All In! Solbakken
"Kashi"
Taken much too young, much too suddenly, missed greatly.
In memory of:
Our
first Rottweiler was a gal named "Molly" aka Hot Tamale McButter. She
was a rescue dog and a great learning tool for a novice owner of working
dogs. Molly was all about fun and a great companion who enjoyed her
life with us.
In memory of:
Our next Rottweiler was Jack Rufus von Tabor - a son
by Am/Can Champion Wilderness Kobuk v Forstwald CD, ARC Bronze
Producer. Jack was an affectionate dog, a nice family dog, but
with intense prey drive. A handsome dog with strong breed type, Jack
would have made a nice first "show dog" were it not for the fact that he
was already neutered when we aquired him. <grin>

RoseArbour Rottweiler Goals:
* Heart - dogs with character, correct temperament, and desire to please
* Endurance - dogs with drive and ability to keep up with today and
tomorrow
*Type - Beauty and Structure - meeting the Standard is just the beginning
* Health - OFA hips and elbows clear, Cardiac clear, Thyroid Normal, CERF
... We've seen it for ourselves, it can be done!
When we produce a litter, we strive to improve the Breed,
support our puppy owners, and remain responsible for the puppies we
produce
through out their lives.
Yes, we are proud to announce a spectacular breeding whelped January 12,
2008:
Puppy breath is here!
The arrival of the Tucker/Ivy puppies closed out 2007 with a mighty
cheer!
Applications still being accepted for performance and show homes.
Puppies debut in the sieger show ring this Spring'08!
