RoseArbour 2008 Litter: Little Bear

Exhausted after a hard day's work,
"Little Bear" - an Alex & Makograndson by my wonderful dogs Lexie and Sam -
was pampered in style with icy cold popsicles. Why you might ask?
Well Randi and her wonderpup "Bear"
decided they would see what conformation was all the fuss about
and entered a fun match somewhere in the wilds of Canada on Saturday...

Best Puppy In Match under Dr.Jim Vanderhook, judge!

Oh dear, is he getting vain? Now he needs sunglasses before he can go out.
I guess he's worried about paparazzi?

June, 2008 - Larry McLennan gives Bear a treat
while owners Randi Olsen and Cailey Sondergaard look on, at the Lions Club/Purina Walk for Dog Guides.
Bear and his family raised $420 for a local dog guide organization.

A message from Bear's "mom" Randi - "Bear, Cailey and I joined the Purina Walk for Dog Guides
in our area this morning. Not a great turn out but our team,
Bear and the Goldilocks' raised $420 from the support of all of our friends
(and some strangers)!!!
Little Bear is exhausted, he has been traveling with me
collecting pledges and everyone we came across supported us 100%!!
At the walk Bear was rewarded for raising so much money with a bandana,
leash, a bone.................and then a box of bones!!!
Us girls got hats!! lol
He got to meet a horse which he was pretty calm about
but something we have had no exposure to and not sure if we will see this again..............
but a two headed person!!!!!! Bear was a little worried,
he has never seen a child on her fathers shoulders before!!!!
He really didn't know what to make of it.
He is resting now and after 3 days of pounding on doors
I don't think he needs a walk tonight! "

May, 2008 - Bear at ease in Canada.

Another message from Bear's mom Randi -
" Well another proud moment for my little Bear!
I volunteer with a local bear group and have been hoping
that little Bear would show me signs of whenand where bears are.
I have taken him to areas where I know bears have been
and all I have seen is him with his nose in the air.......
that is until tonight.
A friend and I just came out of the bush and put the dogs
back on their leads, we started back to the truck
when Bear put his nose in the air, hackles went up
and for a puppy had a verydeep courageous bark.
I watched him intently, hoping that this was my sign
and sure enough ahead of us was the biggest black bear that I have everseen!!!
My friends dog has had experience spotting bears and he was ahead of Bear
so I was surprised that Bear picked up on it first and ever so proud!
I am thrilled, I now know what his signal will be!!!..........................
Which is a good thing around hereas we have alot of bears this year.
Of course no camera on me either!!!!!
Just had to share that story!!
This puppy is so amazing on how quick and smart he is,
it is mind boggling tosee.
I love taking him tofield with other dogs and being able to
just whistle once and he comes running back,
everyone that is around us isamazedhow much he pays attention............
can you tell I'm a proud mama?? lol
Even when other dogs take off he seems to have an invisible boundary
that he won't cross, where theheck did he learn that from????
Tonightin thebush, the other dog took off and
Bear watched him leave then came to me.He is such a good boy!! "
WE at RoseArbour and Eaglehaus are VERY PROUD OF BEAR!!!
