"Didn't you use to be Phil Hedgehog?"
Someone actually asked me that once. For the record my given name is Phil Tonge, whereas my anarcho-punk/into-the-shadows moniker is Phil Hedgehog. There's a very long and boring story about picking up that nickname. It involves Joe Strummer (of all people), who, during an interview with Smash Hits magazine in 1981 said, "I mean we could say something meaningless like "Hedgehogs Are Cool" or similar". A long-running mind-infection was born, and by 1983, "Hedgehog" was the only surname I answered to. I still use it as a pen-name for cartooning though. Now you know. So, if you've ever wondered what happened to Phil Hedgehog...I killed him...a bit.

I'M NOT DEAD. IN FACT, I FEEL LIKE A WALK.
Phil Hedgehog. Behind you, grasping a large axe and giggling, now.
