Saw the show in cardiff tonight. I was there in June and loved it, but tonight was, i thought, a sensational gig - it's on the BBC (Radio 2) next Sat, so don't miss it. Every song was fantastic, from Take it Inside to open, to On The Beach and C'mon caroline to close. They encored with Mercy Me and Can I get a witness, which were wonderful. An absolutely memorable night - cheers boys!
It was a wet and windy night in Cardiff, the Welsh Capital, but inside the Coal Exchange SSJ and the Jukes certainly warmed up the Welsh capital and the crowd. Too many highlights to mention, absolutely Brilliant show, a much better show that the boys did here in June. Killer versions of "Just walk away Rennee","Without Love" and "The Fever" Who thought we'd ever see Bobby Banderia in a BBC radio 2 Tee shirt ! As Johnny said at the close of the show "See Ya next week"....I wish
Wow - as other posts have said, the Cardiff show was indeed better than their last appearance in my home town, in front of a full house and BBC Radio 2. The roof only just stayed on and the lights did as well (they went out in the middle of Without Love last time). The setlist was awesome, including a number of audience requests - New Coat Of Paint ; On The Beach....in Wales, in Cardiff, in the rain" ; Mercy Me ; C'mon Caroline ; You Dont Know....; Tired Skin ; Gladly Go Blind ; Cadillac Jack ; Take It Inside etc. Southside was on top form, joking and winding up the band and the crowd, who responded by singing and clapping all the way through. My thanks to the whole band for their courtesy and spending the time to chat before and after the show. Great to see D-Lo and Miss October (thanks for the mention) who were a pleasure to be with - safe journey home to New York. The band move on to Newcastle tonight - Let the good times roll !!!!!
