The guy in white is Mr. Spellious, who teaches Marina & Andrei's pre-taekwondo class, Little Tigers. Each has earned a claw to signify the acquisition of a martial skill (kicks, in both cases). They love the classes so much that I put a Pretend Dojang in the basement. (It has to be pretend because Marina always wants to get a new claw each time we work out down there. She's a goal-driven young lady. It can't be too pretend, though, because Andrei would run headlong into the furnace if he didn't take the place somewhat seriously.) |
