Wow, I should have started this a long time ago, but better now then never. the tower needs to be raised in the y direction. that and all that goes with it. _______________________________________________________________________ grrrr! ok, lets get some things straingt right here and now: the plane where there are 2 arches at 90d from each other is plane 1 it's open area is the the top left, and it also has stuff in the lower left as well the plane whith the pyramid railings and whose expansive area is in the bottom right is plane 2. it also that first back room and leads off in the top center the other plane, the one where you can't see it's open area is plane 3 this is the one who gets the window in the tower The different sets of steps are top, right, left, and bottom. bottom being the only one not to float. I've also add another set of steps below all that for plane1 I'm not worrying about the people or random props right now. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2-23 ---- put steps and a real arch with door near the pyramid railing (plane2). fixed the railing (plane1) with pyamid tops seperation, but it showed that the tower is too low. crud Some of the doors need fixing, revamping. and plane (1) with the pyramidpointy railings need to be extended. it's all set up, just need to put stuff there, it will be hard/impossible to imcorperate the other planes up there. The railings meeting together in plane3 on the landing near plane2's door is all messed up, I could hide it with a sphere, but that's ugly. some 3d molding is neaded. angles should be 45, but not to each other. later ----- ok, an idea for plane 2, it can have some oddly hanging stairs that lead to that new part I put in for plane 3. it'd have a walkway on their wall and lead to a door or something. the steps getting there might look too odd though, and out of place. I need outside help. 4:09 PM 3/1/2002 ---------------- ok, an idea for that odd hanging stair. you move back the stairs on plane2, but I thought the extra block that acts like a landing would look funney, so I could round it off and minimize the damage, but wait! if I put another stairs backing it, and instead of having a door go through the wall, I make plane3 have a wierd lille jig up some stairs before going over, that way plane 2 can walk over all of the wall. they have to under an arch, but that's ok. the only problem is that this would add something that wasn't in the original shot. the hude colums up the side is a bit wierd, but it's not intrusive into what eshcer did, this would be though. still, it really works out well, just some railing become obsolete regular steps means little room for plane3 to walk up, and if I push it back, it comes out the other side. ok, like the steps of old. hmm, a bit of some balance issues. and how short are these people anyway??? ok, got that, but the top of those stairs for plane 2 don't meet the wall... and the top of the wall is and odd thing to work with. going to move the wall to match, hopefully it won't be too noticable easy railing move. again though, not enough head room to get up those stairs, I really need to raise that tower, whimper.... 4:34 PM 3/13/2002 ----------------- ok, so the stairs in plane3, the ones going to the right, they will now join up with stairs from plane1! it will be a round a bout way to get on, but eh, oh well. This will help because plane 2 can use the wall to walk on and hence, a reason for stairs to go over it. ta da. again it's a bit odd, but com'on, it's escher. the only thing I don't like about what he did is the arches. for one they're a pain in the ass to make, and second, they don't mesh quite right, for one plane they're fine but for the other, they're a bit odd. so he went with an arch instead of a flat block to give it some shading, I don't blame him, but it's something that I could have done, vs the grand master of all. that and the fence posts on plane2 lower right, plane 3 would look at it odd. and of course there's problems with going over....gr --- fin ---
