Most of the communications take place on the 800 MHz trunked frequencies for the MPGE (Mashantucket Pequot Gaming Enterprise). On them you will find pratically all departments, such as security, parking Dept. of Interior (their fancy title for custodian) & maintenance. The tribal P.D. & F.D. operates on its own 800 MHz repeater as well as the other radio systems. Cellular telephones also play an important part in communications. (The nearest cell site is located less than 1/2 mile south of the reservation.)
