UPCOMING EVENTS

Apr. 23-24: Pork Butt Roast
  The Pork Butt Roast was held at Spring Park
during Spring Fest. Bill Johnston, committee
chairman, stated that the club sold all the
pork butts.

Apr. 3: Rotary Spring Golf Tournament
  Heber Springs Rotary held it's first spring
golf tournament, a three man scramble, at
Lost Creek Golf Course. Gary Redd, Committee
Chairman, declared the tourney a success and
everyone had a good time.

Dec. 9: Rotary Christmas Party
  The annual Christmas Party, held at Red Apple Inn
was a great success again with entertainment by Rusty Band

Nov.  1: Pancake Breakfast
  Heber Springs Rotary Club held it's semi-annual
pancake breakfast at Heber Springs High School's
cafeteria.  Military, police, and firemen were provided
meals free of charge.  Proceeds are earmarked for
scholarships.

Oct. 15: Family of Rotary Coffee
  In keeping with the Family of Rotary theme,
Judy Biggerstaff hosted a coffee for the spouses of
Rotary members.  Everyone enjoyed quality time with
each other, not to mention the great hors d'oeuvres!

Sept. 12: Rotary Golf Tournament
  Heber Springs Rotary Club held it's annual Golf
Tournament at Red Apple Country Club.  Chaired by
Jack Rhodes, this year's tournament was the largest ever!

NEW MEMBERS


We are proud to welcome our new members:

Dennis Devine
  Dennis, an American Express financial advisor, recently
was approved for membership.  He was a Little Rock Rotarian
and we look forward to his active involvement.

Mitch Mitchell
  Mitch, an architect, recently was approved for membershi.
He moved to Heber within the last year, established
his architectural business, and plans to build on Diamond Bluff.

Please contact Paul Cafferty to purchase a specially commissioned signed and numbered print of Heber Springs $35 unframed and $50 framed and matted.  They are collector's items and make excellent gifts.  All proceeds go to our projects.

Please give a three week advance notice to Jon McKinnie for inserting your speaker's name and their program into the bulletin.

Please remember to wear your Rotary pin and your badge at the meetings or you will be fined.  Pins can be purchased from the Secretary for $3

Rotary requires you to attend at least 60% of all the meetings in a year unless the sum of your age and the number of years that you have been in Rotary exceeds 85.

If you miss more than four meetings in a row, without prior board approval, you are subject to being terminated as a member.   Please report any make-ups to the Secretary
