| Savannah has a plethora of lovely places to stay, both historic and modern. Historic Savannah is bustling and beautiful, full of little shops, restaurants and the squares and Victorian homes for which Savannah is well known. St. Paul's is located in the historic section of town on Abercorn and 34th Streets. A hotel convenient to the church and activities in historic Savannah is the Hyatt Regency Savannah right on the river. Skidaway Island is about a 20 minute drive from the historic section of Savannah. Hotels near Skidaway Island include Courtyard by Marriott and Homewood Suites, both located on Abercorn Street within easy driving distance of both the church and Skidaway Island. These are suites with a bedroom and separate living room. The living room has a queen size sleeper sofa. The hotel serves a complete complimentary hot breakfast with eggs and bacon and cereal and juice and almost anything else you could want...all included in the price. Also has a pool and other ammenities for children. Close to Skidaway Island and a newer hotel, you can't go wrong with this. Probably 10 minutes from the church and downtown and 10 minutes from Skidaway Island. Courtyard by Marriott Savannah Midtown 6703 Abercorn Street, Savannah, GA 912-354-7878 As convenient as the Homewood Suites but the rooms are smaller. $79.99 per night with no minimum stay required. Lots of amenities at this hotel too. Hyatt Regency Savannah 2 W. Bay Street, Savannah, GA 912-238-1234 $189 per night but no availability on May 9th. Perfect if you are arriving on Saturday the 10th and would like to stay in a very upscale hotel. Beautiful modern hotel right on the river with great views and in close proximity to everything you would want to do in historic downtown Savannah. About 5 minutes drive from the church and 20 minutes from the reception site. Clubhouse Inn & Suites 6800 Abercorn Street, Savannah, GA 912-356-1234 Newly renovated hotel in a convenient location, close to church and reception location.
