The Websites That Has Filled My Hours With Pop-ups and Porn Teasers

I'm just kidding about the pop-ups and porn teasers. Any websites that sicced them at me would lose my patronage pretty quickly. The web sites I frequent are mainly humor, but some are informational and/or of interest. Don't worry about broken links, because I'll be using this as a start page of a sort and clicking about, so I'll be pretty much the first to know.

Here's a good portal (i.e - start site) to start with, I have a e-mail address here, and I've partaken of some of its services and programs. It's also a search engine...

Now, some of the search engines that I use frequently... I have to admit that Dogpile (a meta-search engine) makes my life much, much easier when I'm dealing with reports. But for the most part, I use Altavista and Excite. Simpler that way, for small matters. I do occasionally use Lycos. It isn't bad... quite good, actually. The search engines: (I'll list as many as I can, so you can have your choice. Then there's the other places of the net I've been to so far. I'll rate them all when I evaluate them for real. But I'm pretty much going for comphrensiveness here, so it might be a while before I come around to that...

Web Portals and Search Engines

• Yahoo! This I use as my E-mail account - they give you a free large E-mail account and a fair-sized amount of web space. They're mainly a web portal, but you could also look for websites.
• Google A hard-core search engine - just straight up searching, and I hear it's one of the best on the net.
• Altavista
• Excite
• Lycos
• HotBot
• Dogpile A metacrawler engine. I think this means this searches several engines and lists them by search engine and relevance.

• The Onion Hilarious!!! A fake news publisher.
• Mad Magazine This speaks for itself.
• Stick Death Not for kiddies or those of weak stomaches. Stick figures are the actors in gory, sickeningly painful deaths that are made comical. Don't let my description put you off... I've had LOOOOONG hours of side-splitting laughter on this site. This site switched to Flash... and lots of it. Be careful.
