During his childhood Bon learnt many instruments, but decided to stick with the drums. He left school in 1961 aged 15. His first band the Valentines released on album before they broke up in 1970. Bon Scott was married in 1972. Bon had some success with another band Fraternity. But they failed to make it big time. Bon was soon to be in a severe motor cycle accindent and spent severel months in a coma.
Bon started doing odd jobs for money, and somehow ended up being the tour driver for AC\DC. Bon would jam with the band playing drums. When the singer at the time didnt show up for a concert Bon filled in on vocals. Bon was now the singer for AC\DC. He went on to release six great albums with the band.
Bon was always a heavy drinker though. After a heavy session of drinking one night Bon went to his car to sleep it off. In the morning he was dead. On arrival at kings college hospital in London Bon (33) was pronounced dead on Feb 19th 1980.
