Bootleg itself gives no recording information beyond "Live in Europe 1994"--"Danke schn" is used throughout the stage banter, though, so it was definitely recorded in a German-speaking country, probably Germany itself. The date and location above is what I was told, and I don't have the means to verify it, although Carcass did apparently play in Germany on that date.

Track 10 fades out at the end. This appears to be the only sound editing done.

Calling track 5 "Pyosisified" is technically incorrect, as it was only "Rotten to the Gore" on the original demo. Note that on the bootleg, track 10 is listed as "Psychopathologist" and track 11 is listed as "Die In Pain," even though track 11 is clearly "Psychopathologist" due to the lyrics. As every tracklisting I've seen for the demo itself puts them in the same order as the bootleg, I'm unsure whether the bootlegger got the tracks out of order or whether they happened to be that way on the original demo. Anyone know more about this?

There's really nothing that went unused from the "Flesh Ripping Sonic Torment" demo ("Die In Pain" is only a 3-second "song"); a few songs had songtitle changes:

Track 4, actually "Limb From Limb," was retitled "Frenzied Detruncation."
"Necrocannibal Bloodfeast" was retitled "Feast on Dismembered Carnage."
"Face Meltaaargh!!!!" became "Mucopurulence Excretor." The chorus was changed, and possibly some of the lyrics.

Tracks 20-25 are the same recordings as on the Carcass/Napalm Death split-bootleg LP. The sound quality is average to poor; at times the vocals can be hard to hear, and at others everything becomes a "wall of noise" type affair. It sounds like there's a skip or defect during the introduction to track 23, as a split-second of the stage banter is repeated. The stage banter to track 24 also sounds like it was edited (and possibly a song or songs removed), and there is an edit between the last two live tracks--track 25 abruptly begins before "Reek of Putrefaction" has fully completed.

Tracks 26-28 are vocalless.

Gods of Grind on Tour
Split with Cathedral
Tracks 1-10 - Live Gods of Grind tour, 1992 (probably Germany)
Tracks 11-15 - see Cathedral page
Is This Music? ITM NR 107802
Limited to 500 hand-numbered copies
1. Intro
2. Impropagation [sic]
3. Coroporal Jigsore Quandary
4. Reek Of Putrefaction
5. Pedigree Butchery
6. Incarnated Solvent Abuse
7. Carneous Cacoffiny
8. Lavaging Expectorate Of Lysergide Composition

11. Equilibrium - Cathedral
12. Autumm Twilight [sic] - Cathedral
13. A Funeral Request - Cathedral
14. Soul Sacrifice - Cathedral
15. Frozen Rapture (partial) - Cathedral

No location and no specific date beyond 1992 are given. "Danke schn" is used in the stage banter, so it's likely another German show.

At the start of the gig, the spoken intro from "Inpropagation" is played. Even though they play most of the "Necroticism..." album, this is the only one of the spoken intros used.

There is a cut/jump at 4:09 of track 9, which seems to be the only editing done. Since it's right before the encore, I'm assuming the material cut out was just dead time waiting for the band to come back on stage. The bootleg does even state on the back "you can heard nearly two complete shows," but this is probably only really referring to the obviously incomplete Cathedral gig.

Very good soundquality, although a lot of the vocals are hard to hear. Definitely the most "Necroticism..."-centered Carcass bootleg I've ever seen.

Live Dismemberment
Live Germany (?) circa 1990,
"Symphonies Of Sickness" tour
Mordred Records MOCD 1
1. Intro
Genital Grinder (4:35)
Exhume To Consume (7:10)
Reek Of Putrefaction (11:10)
Ruptured In Purulence (15:28)
Empathological Necroticism (19:39)

Swarming Vulgar Mass of Infected Virulency (38:52)
Foeticide (42:28)
Crepitating Bowel Erosion (45:04)
Slash Dementia (50:58)

A "Symphonies of Sickness" era bootleg with extremely lo-fi b/w layout. Absolutely no recording information or tracklisting is given. Everything is indexed as a single track, so I have included approximate song start-times above. Yet again, "Danke schn" is used constantly, placing the location in a German-speaking country, most likely Germany itself.

There is a fade-out at 45:03, and the music fades back in a second later. Based on the location on the fade-out and other sound oddities, the setlist, and the use of German, my best guess is that this is a CD version of the "Cerebral Tumor" bootleg LP on Headache (recorded in Dortmund, Germany, July 30, 1990). The setlist is exactly the same, the only difference being that "Swarming..." is played after "Crepitating..." As I don't have the vinyl, I can't confirm this--but if they're not the same show, "Live Dismemberment" is certainly of a show done at about the same time.

Beware, as I've seen at least one CD-R copy of this with photocopied inserts, though I'm not sure if it was mass-produced, or someone was just selling off an homemade dub. While the simple insert/layout of this bootleg make it easy to photocopy and reproduce, the back of the insert on the original is printed black. Note that there is also a tape version of this bootleg.

11. Pungent Excruciation 11. Pungent Excruciation
12. Microwaved Uterogestation 12. Microwaved Uterogestation/Excreted Alive

No date or recording information is given on this bootleg apart from the year "88" in the title. The location is almost certainly somewhere in the UK due to the early date and stage banter references to Napalm Death and Bolt Thrower. At the end of track 2, Bolt Thrower are thanked for providing drums and Paradise Lost for providing an amp; most likely this recording is from a show with the three, then? Recording is a bit bass-heavy and vocals often seem low in the mix, but overall it's a fine set of early material from the first 2 albums. Most of the stage banter/crowd noise is hard to hear, so you'll have to turn the volume way up.

Track 9 is jokingly(?) introduced at first as "Reek of Purification."

All recording/date information is in the booklet only--the back insert only has the tracklist. Tracks 1-5 are (incorrectly) mentioned as being live in Tokyo, Dec. 15, 1992, and no specific date is given for the Bradford tracks.

I was kind of dubious about the '92 year for the first 5 tracks, as I read "Carnal Forge" wasn't even played live until 1993. These seem to be the 5 live tracks from the Japanese-only "Best of Carcass" double-CD in a rearranged order. Tokyo is mentioned in the stage banter for "Carnal Forge." I don't actually have the 2CD, so I'm not sure where the second show is from, and I can't verify the dates, I gleaned them off someone. Here the tracks have breaks between them, and it sounds like the stage banter/crowd noise is somewhat edited to make them seem continuous. I'm not sure if this is the case on the original.

Tracks 6 and 7 are originally from the "Live St. George's Hall, Bradford 15.11.89" EP on Distorted Harmony (the original vinyl pressings had a 3rd track from another '89 show in London). These same 2 tracks are also on the "Distorted Harmony 1989-2000" compilation CD.

At 3:27 of track 11, the CD seemingly begins to skip and play the same part over and over until the track ends. I got my copy new with no visible surface defects, so I'm not sure if this is a pressing error with my disc or if all CDs are affected. If you have this bootleg please let me know.

This is a relatively useless newer bootleg. Some of the layout ideas might have been nice if they weren't done with pixelated graphics and awful Photoshopping jobs. Somewhat convenient as a compilation if you don't have the live tracks in any other format, but the Peel Sessions and "Tools..." EPs have been included as bonuses in various places and aren't particularly hard to find, and the sound fuck-up in track 11 just makes the bootleg even worse. Definitely for collectors only.
