Rather than thinking about your own body doing an action like poking or twitching someone, you may imagine a strong but controlled thought force creating the action within the head or body of your receiver. If you are using shouts, it's like talking to yourself in your own head, louder and directed at or into the mind of your receiver. Bridge like throwing body. I have another similar exercise that I will lump here for the moment, not moving. Sit down in a chair. Move your leg forward a bit then back. Do that a couple of times trying to feel it each time. Then sitting comfortably still, don't torture yourself, imagine you are moving your leg without actually moving it. Try to feel it moving just like when you did move it, but leave it still. Similar to the tapping exercise, repeat actually moving your leg after the first still thought attempt, then do the thought instead of moving your leg a second time. Since I'm making comments as I write, this is one that would cause some mental strain or tension on the user that may not be the way you've chosen to exercise. However, it may create sort of the alert (tense) state of mind combined with thought-action that may eventually work for you.
The twitch or headache may be an act a bit stronger than forcibly blinking your eyes, when practiced regularly. It may be like a reaction or reflex that you try and trigger in a receiver (this may be the other weakness to TK, the reflexes are caused telepathically, no physical force at all, possibly just a forced thought.) You imagine yourself tensing up or forcing the act on yourself or your receiver then try doing it again after you let go, not so tensely just simply and like it was not a chore. Here I'm saying that you imagine the headache or twitch on yourself first, force it on your receiver, then if your using this method, at least while you are exercising, you repeat the attempt. With some practice using the double method, you won't need to do the second try, the first should hit, then you would be done with that piece.
I mentioned earlier that as a telepath I felt my strengths lay in communication or connecting people. With that in mind, I think this ability may be used to teach someone else a similar ability or perhaps help them along with their own attempts. We've already talked about belief, let me go on.
After you've developed some of these abilities, you may try to create the same state of mind within the brain of your recipient/subject. You may notice, especially if you've developed telepathy or telepathy oriented activity (I call this sounds, pictures, pleasure feelings, emotions - I do not know if pokes, tics, twitches or headaches are absolute telepathy, hooked to reflexes, or some kind of TK combination,) that your subject has little direction or awareness in this area. They may even have strong natural defenses that you have to ignore, bypass or break through.
Try to get through or around these defenses (maybe rather than force forward, relax and act,) then picture or create the state of energy you have personally developed through exercises, within the head of your subject. Using something like the globe exercise, feel your way into or over to their area and break or vanish their barrier, then lay off or try to relax. You may try to hold their barrier open or maintain that still/open situation. You may be able to get longer periods of this with practice. Have them simultaneously try a brief signal. If you use yourself, you will probably attack back. This is a conditioning attempt, following with a punishment may not help. Perhaps, use someone else or someone on TV turned on mute. With some practice you may be able to tell your "student" when to make their attempt. In other words you may be able to feel when their barrier is down or when the energy is right (they're open, you're relaxed.) After you've let go, the subject may want to review the way they were thinking, sort of try again without you. You should have explained how it works for you at the beginning.
My explanation of this barrier idea has to do with pleasure sending rather than pokes and headaches. I've noticed that when I open someone's barriers they get a brief flood of energy, kind of like being tickled or when the hair stands up on the back of your neck. This is very new to me right now, and completely unproven. It is just my latest thing and something I think should work with a willing subject (perhaps even unwilling.)
If I'm having trouble explaining this view, it is because of my own feelings and impressions of the topic. This will sound like a conflict, but I like to include and use this idea myself. As a telepath I believe my strength lies in the connection or communication between people (that's pretty funny if you knew me.) Anyway, lately I've been playing with the idea of linking up a bunch of people, who I imagine as batteries, and trying to connect as a power source for someone else. After imagining the net or connections, I lay back and try to feed power, in an attempt to facilitate the "leader's" efforts.
I've come to think that telepathy is an outer brain activity. I don't have much reason for this, mostly the whole globe/aura thing, and I need to admit that I've developed a slight stutter over the last year, so someone more knowledgeable on the brain may conclude that it is more of a language center condition. My reasoning is based on my viewing of a telekinetic attempt or action, and some rather loose stuff you may have encountered having to do with the old chakra idea. Also, due to the field idea, it seems that my head may be surrounded in sort of an aura - which is what led me to the exercises.
My (however weak) viewing or attempted participation in this TK event left me with the impression that it was a very direct/forceful activity. The individual performing the action seemed to be mentally throwing or "thought pushing" directly through or from within the brain. This observation of a TK in action is what has led me around to the chakra idea, that perhaps the head chakra is a focus point through which you may be able to perform some of these actions. I'm rambling here, but the physical brain or practice through some fixed/known focus may have worked for this type of activity in the past.
Here I want to bring up a handle, I am guessing you can't make the action without some description, imagine a power center, within your body or brain, it is like a fuzzy ball of energy, you imagine it as an energy point, imagine it there and kind of thought wise grab it or use it not so localized more like it radiates or you can move it or work through it.
You force your way through jobs or activities and you don't see that you have trained yourself to tightly control everything you touch. It's probably a great way to succeed at tasks and jobs and even play, you may even force your way socially. That being the case, maybe you should dump everything that doesn't show only the strongest results, because that is all you will see or recognize. The thought I am working with now is: I generally hope to merge a couple of exercises together. Like building "globes" into one exercise motion, like pull in, expand out, repeat.
places here I say transition directly into an exercise or while that do this, I was planning to demonstrate with an arm exercise, balance both arms out then lift them, feel your balance changing
notice I go with this repeat idea, I am saying you stress and fail first, but you may learn and succeed later
I am worried about "quick relax" actually tensing you up if you over think it, sorry you read that
Looking at the exercises I have 2 or 3 types atmosphere-basic, technique: sort of like create the mindset, work with the "medium" or action - and sharper use of the medium or exercises that bring viewable (at least strongly believed, though hopefully partner acknowledged) action/result.
I have to spend a little time thinking/talking about a "handle" sort of a place to start or a way for the user to come closer to the practice by having some feel or vision of what they are working with. As I write this I think some touch type work may help - different from prior, maybe self-touching and soft things, warm things, etc.
What I would say here is if you want to rewrite, consider writing the exercises in a very simple concrete way, simple steps - step by step. "Imagine a glowing ball of force in your right hand..."
A demo of twitching on the temple (of the head.) It felt like they laid on a reed (when I say reed - I mean like a reed switch, like a flat spring) it seemed like laying on a light force then letting it off. They did it repeatedly - So they laid on a light force and let it go.
the user may want to imagine feeling a reflex kind of action. It's like putting a reflex directly into the body of your receiver. Rather than forcing an invisible object upon them, you imagine that you feel this reflex jerk and then laying back you ease it (though pretty quickly) into the brain/body of your target.
I bring up amping because like linking it may be a teaching method - similar or the same, you push the state upon your student then or while trying to lay back from causing any action yourself and let them act through that (I say field or medium because I believe you are in the medium - you may feel state or energy level)
the linking idea is to do the same over a large area (in the real world,) using the energy of the people perhaps in your town or your coast (or China) - most of them aren't using it consciously, then connect to your actor while holding the town "open."
I have a belief that people have natural barriers, that may not be correct, perhaps people operate on a frequency other than psychically in their daily lives
you may be able to enhance yourself with biofeedback equipment if you can work toward a known state (from someone who worked up naturally and sent back some parameters, a group would probably be able.)
This TK and brain wave stuff brings up the idea of control rather than raw power or force. It may do you better to try and cultivate the proper mindset (perhaps through meditation, perhaps through some sort of practice) rather than work on one action and forcing it bigger. What I mean is you may control and allow something to happen rather than pushing and pounding away at it.
As far as the idea of say weather-control seeming more realistic if you see success with clouds, notice that you may have trouble maintaining the working state of mind rather than just activating for brief bursts.
