When Night Comes
As the light leaves the sky and darkness falls. All that was once bright and suny is now dark and lonely. Watching from across the room you can see the slow motion movement of the sun leaving and darkness filling in. You try so very hard to fill it with freinds and family, watching TV, reading and such, but nothing takes it away.
The need to have someone to be yours, to listen to your hopes and fears. To hold you close and understand your desires, someone to share your dreams with. Someone to help to make them come true. In your heart you feel that somewhere, someday you will find that soul mate and until then you wait each day for the sun to go down and the emptiness to be waiting with open arms to reach out and hold you.
One day when the darkness comes it is different, the emptiness is not with it. You have come to learn that someone will not make your dreams come true. You and only you can do that. That you and only you can make your day complete. Today the sun shines waiting for you to reach out and make it yours again.
