STANDARD BODY DESCRIPTIONS General Appearance The Siberian Husky is a medium sized working dog, as quick as lightning on his feet with free and graceful motions so smooth and seemingly effortless. With a moderately compact and well furred body, erect ears and brush tail. The Siberians were breed for Sled pulling, carrying a light load at a moderate speed over great distances. His body proportions and form reflect this basic balance of power, speed and endurance. The Males are of masculine structure but never coarse, the Females are feminine but not lacking weakness of structure. When in peak condition, firm muscle and well developed the Siberian doesn't carry excess weight. Size, Proportion, Substance Height Males 21 to 23.5 inches at the shoulders, Females 20 to 22 inches at the shoulders. Weight Males 20 to 28 kg, Females 16 to 23 kg Head Expression is keen, but friendly, interested and even mischievous Eyes Almond shape, moderately shaped, eyes may be brown or blue in colour or you can get bi eyes which is one brown and one blue Ears of medium size, triangular in shape, close fitting and set high on the head. They are thick and well furred and slightly arched at the back, but strongly erect, and the points should be slightly rounded pointing straight up. Skull proportioned medium in size to the body. Muzzle of medium length and width tapering gradually to the nose, with the tip neither pointed or square. With the nose being either Black, Brown, even flesh coloured in pure white dogs. The upper thighs are well muscled and powerful Coat and Colour Coat is doubled and medium in length, giving a well furred appearance, but never so long to detract from the clean cut outline of the dog. The undercoat is soft and dense, and the top coat is smooth lying, never harsh. The absence of the undercoat during the shedding season is normal.
