OK, so clearly I haven't posted in months!

Here's the scoop, the brief scoop.

For my birthday I got my kitten, my little Devon Rex girl. She is white with blue eyes and that is her picture above. Her name is Maya and we like to call her Maya Papaya...Papaya for her nickname. Her pedigree name is "Raya's Snow White Illusion".

We moved into our new house, nearly a month earlier than previously posted. We move in on July 21/07, closed on July 18. Very exciting but lots of ups and downs and definitely lots of debt, lol, but we love it and I don't think we would want it any other way! =D

So, here comes the crazy part! I am getting another Devon Rex. That's right folks, another $800 kitten. =\ It's ok if you think I'm crazy, most people do, haha. I'm getting a little boy this time. She's already decided I will be getting  a Black and White kitten and he is adorable! Cannot wait to bring him home. We're thinking of calling him Milo but we're not 100% sure yet. I'm hoping I can get "Pup in a Cat Suit" as his pedigree name, but I'm sure that's probably taken considering the nature of the breed. But, for the first few weeks of his life, he definitely looked like a Boston Terrier puppy, lol!

Also, I did find an amazing home for Sammie a few weeks before we moved. He's doing very well with them and I can definitely tell he's a LOT happier there with them than he was here with me. It makes me so much more confident in my final decision, and I now know that it WAS the right one.

So with all that said, I think that just about brings us up to date. The only other thing I'll mention is that I was forced in the Sales department at Rogers, and that is definitely NOT my forte, I'm not a pushy sales person. Completely outrageous targets to meet and I'm about halfway, lol. That is stressing me out more than anyone can possible imagine and it seems the only way I can get out of it is to possible switch jobs. But, I'm not really the call centre type of person anyways, doesn't work for me. Alex and I are thinking about both finding a job at a factory and having the same hours so that we can just go together and I think that will cut back on a fair amount of driving. Plus, we'll end up making a lot more money because that will be quite the pay increase for him anyways. He's getting so screwed around as far as wage at his current job it's incredible.

As an example....here's what happened recently.

He was up for his semi-annual review to get  a raise and his GM told him they would wait because the company was raising the minimum wage for Supervisors to $9.50 (WoW, finally!) and that way he wouldn't be cancelling out his raise. So he did get bumped up to $9.50, but now they are refusing to give him his semi-annual review and raise...so he's been there for over a year but any joe off the street they hire for a supervisor will be making the same thing as him. Don't know how that's fair. Really, when they raise the minimum wage they're going to be paying, they should really add any raises that the supervisor has received thus far on top of their base wage. Makes sense to me. So what really sucks is that one of the other managers has been there for more than 2 years, started off at a base wage of $8.50/hr and has had some raises, but now she's making the same thing as Alex. Seriously...they get dicked around a lot. Plus, $9.50 and zero benefits is a pretty shitty management position if you ask me....

Anyways, lol...life goes on!
