| During the Vietnam War, the citizens of both Vietnam, America, and other participating countries suffered terrible hardships. Their (Vietnam�s) country had experienced what seemed to be an endless state of warfare, and the Vietnam War made life particularly difficult. Relentless bombings by both sides disrupted life in the villages. Many Vietnamese families were torn apart by this civil war, too, with sons (and some daughters) fighting for different armies. Villages were unprotected by troops. Innocent villagers and children were raped, killed, wounded, or beaten and entire villages were destroyed. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
