The sharp ring of steel upon steel echoed in the streets as the two warriors, brothers by law, parried each others blows. Each combatant wielded his with total precision, fending off the thrust of his opponent and instantly counter-attacking. Arms punched out, whipping the air as the warriors parried each attack with a speed that was almost invisible to the eye. Time seemed to fly ahead them both, though none paid the slightest attention to its passing. Their eyes transfixed to that of the other, locked in a swirling combat, neither was able to estthe other.
Yumikaru swung his weapon with vibrant power, more precise then it had been beforehand, yet still he fought with the obsession and no true reason, and Celestian knew well that Yumikaru had lost this duel before it had even started.
Neither showed any sign that they had been fighting for more then a minute. No beads of sweat ran down their brows. Their breathing was controlled and steady. Had there been witnessing baring the fight. They would be in awe of the skill and grace of these two duelists.
Celestian was stiff, and firm. But his movements seemed lithe, as he parried blow after blow with his blade. Where it seemed to be a perfect strike, Celestian's blade would quickly appear out of the blue and deflect the attack. It grew obvious to him as well that Yumikaru was not favouring this much at all. With that Celestian pushed back, somersaulted in a backward flip to avoid a ferocious swing of his opponent's cross spear, and with that the two were briefly separated from the combat. |
