| Now that the holidays are over and pitcures are devolped we sit and ponder apon the looks the children had on there faces. Then we glaze at the empty void where the christmas tree once stood. The sounds of the children still filling the air like scent evergreen in the morning. Did they like everything they got? Did they get the one thing they wanted most out of the miles and miles of toys, games and such that they could have asked for. Or did it fall short of there hopes and dreams. We as a socity have excepted the laws of supply and demand, but most fail to relize the these suppliers are stacking the deck. Bottle feeding our children with adds of products every time they watch t.v., listen to the radio , walk in the park and everwhere esle. Every time you turn around theres an add for this and a add for that showing our children how great life would be be if they had it, or how cool or how many friends will or even will not have if they own it. Who is truly to blame for this? The t.v and radiio companys for promoting the adds? No! How about the manufactuers themself for placing the adds in the first place? Again No! The truth is that we the parents are to blame. We would rather buy the product and give the child instant gradafacation then to stand tall and tell them no. The manufactures only place the add because they know that we will give into there cries for happiness and buy it for them. Thats how it works people like it or not. These companys supply a demand to our children, they pass the demand on to us, we inturn demand it from these same companys and the simply supply it to us. We sould be demanding that they make a toy that is age appropriate for our kids. And lets reach far out and ask for something really crazy. Something like the box to have printed on it (no assembly required) or personal favorite ( batteries are included) that way i dont look like a fool christmas morning cause I thought of everything except those dang batteries and am forced to pay eight bucks for a two pack of AA's from the only store opened on christmas day. This sould be the demand. And they sould supply it. When we get to that point christmas will be back into the hands of the parents and of the familys. Instead we have parents fighting over shopping carts and the last dang carebear just because we would not say no. No to the kids, no to the adds and no to our own selfs. And thats just how I fill!
