Dad, Colette and Paul see me to the starting line and Mom is there in spirit as well. This visit to Chicago will be a triumphant return to the marathon route and an homage to my Mom's memory as well as a testament to the strength of our family. What great support! How could I possibly fail? |

Time to find my place in the starting area. This is it! What would Coach Bob tell me...? I am well trained, I am as ready as I will ever be, run my own race, stay positive. And from Lois/Seabiscuit "The win isn't in the legs it's in the heart" I can do this! |

Bundled up and ready to get started. What a fabulous skyline and a full moon. I'll see alot more sights and sound of Chicago before this day is over. 26.2 miles of scenery to be exact. I just want to get started. |
