| I hope you enjoy my homepage. I live on an Island only 12 miles long. It's called Long Island. It's off the southwestern tip end of Nova Scotia Canada. There are 3 villages on it. Tiverton, where the ferry docks, Central Grove, in the middle and Freeport, at the other end where I live. I love the ocean. To me it goes hand n' hand with Friendship and love. It's nice to just sit on the rocks and breath in that fresh salt air, or have a weiner roast on the shore. To me there is nothing quite like it. A place where you can just throw your troubles in the wind, or use it for a place of comfort. Take your pick, there's nothimg quite like it. It will always be waiting for you the next time you return. When I was a child, my Mom and Dad would take us kids there almost every week-end for a weiner roast, some laughes and a swim. I lost my Mom and Dad only 15 days apart in March of 1992. I miss them so very much and it's them that I dedicate my homepage. My name is Heather (nee Crocker) Prime.I am married and have a son and 3 step-daughters. I have 2 female cats, Nailz, 14 ( born deaf) and Hotdog 12, (bob-tailed). They are part of my family. I enjoy playing guitar and singing, especially harmonizing with someone else. I use to be in a local band called "Briar Rose" I miss that! I have the DVD of John Prine ..Sessions on West 54th St. John writes all his own stuff and has such a unique voice. John Prine is my all time favorite singer. He has Iris Dement on it also.Her voice is one of a kind. And also Jason Wilber. What a talented guy Jason is. He does harmony vocals and he is so talented with a lot of instruments.. I would recommend this DVD to anyone who appreciates good easy listening music. What I wouldn't give to see them one day. Update:I got to see them in Halifax Sept. 2006. A birthday gift from Rhonda (my sister-in-law)and hubby John. It was awesome!! I love the outdoors, no matter whether it is summer or winter. I also enjoy baking. I bake during the summer months at my neice's Cafe here on the Island. (Lavena's Cafch Cafe) I make all the sweets there. I write a column in our local monthly newspaper here on the Island. It's called "Passages" and my column is called "Birds of a Heather" I enjoy this very much as I love to watch and feed my feathered friends and hear about other peoples bird stories. The newspaper is all voluntary. It was first started a few years ago by Chris Callaghan and Andy Moir. They moved here from Halifax where Andy is retired from CBC television's 1st Edition , and Chris was a freelance writer for the popular CBC TV show called "Land and Sea". They are the back-bone of the paper I might add. They also got married here on the Island. A lot of volunteers work on a monthly basis with tons of hard work put in to such a wonderful project. I love people and making new friends. I met Mayumi Koga from Japan on the internet 7 yrs, ago. She came and visited me. That was so much fun. What a wonderful friend to find.
