Picture is Kinnaird Gardens in Dundee, Scotland, approximately 1905 to 1925. My father was born in Dundee in 1917. That is how I was named "Heather". It is a flower that grows on a small bush. They tell me the hills of Scotland look purple or white because of the heather.

To My Father, George Grossett
DADDY
You've always been my hero,
the greatest man on earth.
For all the men I've met,
your legacy's been their curse.
They could never reach
the standards you have set.
They constantly try to pay
that never-ending debt.
To fill those shoes, as you have,
are often my demands.
This is the reason,
none are worth my hand.
