This truly was a special night for Kristi and I.  We got to sing the Wild's anthem song from the Pontiac sound stage in front of everyone at the game during the 1st intermission.  We even have a videotape of our singing performance!  I couldn't choose just a few photos, so I'm going to leave up all of the photos and text from that night.

2003 Playoffs
This was by far my favorite game of the whole season.  With the 4-0 shut out of the defending Stanley Cup champions, the MN Wild clinched a playoff spot for the first time in franchise history.  What an awesome game! The game-winning goal came at the 21 second mark of the first period - and from an unlikely source - Moose Johnson the PIM leader of the team.  The Wings were frustrated all night and couldn't get any lucky bounces.  Shanahan kept whining about every call or alleged missed call - and eventually talked his way into an unsportsmanlike penalty and an early trip to the showers.  Roli the Goalie stood his ground all night and looks ready for the playoffs!  Now to get tickets to the playoffs...
4/6/03                        4-3 Wild victory over Columbus Blue Jackets                Game Recap
The Playoff-bound MN Wild finally found a way to beat their expansion brother Blue Jackets.  Gabby scored his 30th goal of the season and a game-winner at that. It was nice to see Bill Muckalt back in the line-up after missing most of the season with an injury.  The action and shots in the first two periods were pretty low, but in the third period the Wild looked like a team trying to build momentum into the playoffs. The Wild FINALLY beat the Blue Jackets for the first time this season and clinched the 6th spot in the Western Conference playoff bracket.  Now they have to gear up to play the #3 team, the Colorado Avalanche.
