Vin's mother, Rose, died when he was five years old, leaving him an orphan. He was subsequently taken in by Chris's parents and raised as a younger brother to Chris. While growing up on the Larabee's ranch in Texas, Vin learned to ride, shoot and track.
When he graduated from high school, Vin joined the Marines and was trained as a sharpshooter. At the end of his tour, the CIA recruited him. Using his sniper skills, Vin became invaluable to Agency.
A few years ago, Vin was on a mission in South America and was badly injured. He was held in an Agency hospital until he had recovered from his injuries and was allowed to returned home.
Feeling that his brother would probably be worried about him, he called Chris and found out that the Agency had never even told him about the incident. Chris was angry and let the director know this. At which time he was informed that he didn't have a need to know about the condition of his brother.
When the team was formed, Chris told Travis that Vin would be allowed on the team, or there wouldn't be one. Faced with this ultimatum, Travis agreed to allow Tanner onto the team. Vin currently lives with Chris in Georgetown, Virginia. His codename comes from the fact that he is a crack shot. (thanks, Lisa!) |
