Clayton �Clay� Webb � A young, somewhat idealistic Secret Service agent (cover: hotel owner), no one more accurate with a gun, married with two children, brown hair, light hazel eyes

Alex Chegwidden � A good-looking, young Secret Service agent (cover: runs the restaurant in the hotel), Clay�s partner and friend, very skilled in undercover work, blond hair, blue eyes

Sarah �Mac� MacKenzie � Sheriff for the town of Providence, very pretty, but fast and accurate with a gun, good in a fight, brown hair and eyes

Harmon �Harm� Rabb, Jr. � A lawyer (barrister) in the town of Providence, had been in the Army during the War, brown hair, blue eyes

Felicity Porter Webb � Clayton�s young wife, very beautiful, auburn hair, pale green eyes, sweet and rather innocent, but she is not incapable of taking care of herself if she has to

Clarity Webb � Their five year old daughter, reddish brown hair, gray-green eyes

Martin Webb � Their two year old son, reddish brown hair, green-blue eyes
