Nathan's mother was emotionally troubled and killed herself when he was only seven years old. His father was often too busy to take care of Nathan and his siblings. Because of this, Nathan learned to be self-sufficient at an early age.
Nathan went to medical school on a scholarship and was recruited by the CIA as a medical analyst in the Directorate of Intelligence. Later on, he was transferred into the Directorate of Operations.
Although Nathan would rather apply his medical knowledge to helping the living, he has also been called upon to figure out how someone died. He is a skilled physician and has an interesting bedside manner. He is patient and understanding with Ezra, but at the same time he is firm. Within the Agency, it is well known that Nathan is probably the only person who can calm Ezra down when he's having a panic attack.
Chris specifically asked for Nathan to be on the team because he had heard that he was the best doctor and field medic in the Agency. Nathan lives in a brownstone apartment in Georgetown. His codename comes from a mission where the codenames were all from "Snow White and The Seven Dwarves." The seven CIA agents involved were each given the name of a different dwarf. |
