Chris peered into the small conference room and smiled.  Mornin Mr. Webb, he said softly.  You wanted to see us?

Hello, Chris, Webb greeted.  Beckoning the young man, he added, Come on in and sit down.

Chris nodded and walked into the room, he took his seat and glanced at the door as the rest of his team entered.  Obie and Sam came in and sat down quietly.  Kevin waved at the adult in the room and sat down beside Chris.  Judy followed Kevin in and bounded over to Webb.

Hi, Mr. Webb, she greeted happily.  Howre you?  You got a job for us?  Is it dangerous?  What are we supposed to do?

Whoa, Clay said, hold up a hand.  Ill get to that in a minute, Judy.  Take a seat and try to calm yourself a little, okay?

Okay, she said, sitting beside the older man.  Sorry.

Clay chuckled.  Its alright, Judy.  I admire your enthusiasm, but you have to give me a chance to answer one question before you ask the next.

Okay, Judy said, grinning broadly.

Webb smiled and shook his head, then said, Okay, heres what we need: the Agency would like your team to help them keep an eye on one of the Ambassadors children.  It should be an easy assignment and you will probably have a lot of fun.

Watch them where? Sam asked softly.

Clay glanced at the file in front of him.  Their father has to meet with the President, the kids are going to be touring the Smithsonian.  You just need to stay with them and make sure they dont wander off.

Chris frowned.  They prone to wandering off? he queried.

Unfortunately, yes, Clay replied.  Theyre in the habit of losing whatever security is put on them.  We figure they wont see any threat in you and would probably invite you along.

Youre right, Obie replied.  This could be fun.

Clay smiled.  Ill have my cell phone with me, call me if you have any trouble, but its got a level one threat, so it should be safe.

Well do our best, sir, Chris said softly.

I know you will, Clay replied.

Im gonna kill her, Chris growled.  Look what that littlelittle hellion did to my bike!

Obie looked at the bike and sighed.  The front wheel was warped from where the Ambassadors daughter and collided with a mailbox.  It surely is damaged, he agreed.

How hard can it be to ride a bike, Chris quoted.  You can do it, she said to me.  Then she hops on and goes about three feet before she loses control and crashes into a mailbox!

Obviously its harder than it looks, Kevin stated softly.

My dads gonna kill me, Chris moaned.

Least she wasnt hurt, Judy added.

Chris shot the younger girl a venomous look and added, Yet.  With that, he stormed over to where the twins were sitting with Sam.  Not as easy as you thought, Amelia? he said, pointing over at the damaged bicycle.

Obviously, the bicycle is defective, the girl explained dismissively.

Chriss eyes widened and his face grew a terrific shade of red.  Seeing this, Amelias twin brother said, Our father will pay for the repairs to your bicycle, Chris.  I apologize for my sisters carelessness.  Would you like to show us the Mineral exhibit?

Sure, Sam answered.  Its that way.

Chris turned on his heel and stalked off in the direction of the building housing the Mineral exhibit.  Whatever, he grumbled, as the rest of his team ran to catch up with him.

Whyd you bother locking the bike up, Sam asked as Kevin hurried up to him.  Whos gonna steal a bike with a broken front wheel?

Kevin shrugged.  Same person that would steal a bike and leave the front wheel chained where it was.

Oh, Sam replied.

If that girl survives this day, Obie stated.  Ill be shocked.

The way shes pushing Chris, itll be no mean feat, Kevin agreed.

Ill be even more surprised if she gets through it without him hurting her, Sam said softly.

Where do you think youre going? Chris growled, as he caught Amelia by the arm.

Amelia frowned and said, I can go wherever I want.  I dont have to listen to you.

Actually, Kevin interrupted.  You kind of do, were supposed to watch you.

Youre supposed to keep me entertained, Amelia argued.  Im bored.

Chris growled and pulled the girl over to where the rest of his team waited with her brother.  You will stay with your brother and the rest of my team, or I will take you back to the hotel and lock you in a closet until youre father is done talking to the president, he grated.

You wouldnt dare, Amelia stated softly, her eyes wide.

Her brother looked at her; then at Chris and said, Amelia?

Yes, George? she asked.

I really think he would dare, her brother said softly.

Amelia locked eyes with Chris and half-smiled.  Okay, she acquiesced.  Ill stay with you and George then.

Im so glad, the older boy stated calmly.

Well, Mr. Webb, Ambassador Williams said as he came to collect his children.  They actually seem to have behaved themselves.  I guess that it wasnt such a bad idea to leave them with your Junior Agents after all.

Thank you, sir, Webb replied.  I hope they enjoyed themselves.

Williams smiled and nodded.  Perhaps the same team can watch them next time I visit, he said softly.

Webb smiled and replied, Well see, sir.

After the ambassador and his twins had departed, Webb felt a tap on his arm.  Turning, he found Judy standing at his elbow.  What is it, Judy? he asked.

I think maybe next time, the other team should watch them, Mr. Webb.

Why?  From across the room, Sam and Kevin began giggling.  Hearing this, Webb turned to face the young man that led the team.  What happened, Chris?

Chris sighed and shrugged.  I may have threatened to lock Amelia in a closet if she didnt behave herself.

Yeah? Webb asked.  Receiving nods from the rest of the team, he said, Yeah, maybe the other team should be in charge of them next time.  At least then I know Ezra wont threaten them.

No, Chris said, grinning.  Him and Shy would just teach her a lesson she wouldnt soon forget.

Webb shook his head.  Well, at least you held your temper, Chris.  Im proud of you.

Thank you, sir, Chris said softly.  I was no mean feat, let me tell you.

Yeah, Webb agreed.  I got that picture.
