Chris spent his childhood and early youth in Indiana. When Chris was fourteen, his father, a career military man, was transferred to Texas. Marcus Larabee found a young Vin Tanner and he and his wife became Vin�s foster parents.
Chris, who was nine years older than young Tanner, became like an older brother to him. After high school, Chris returned to Indiana to attend college, getting a degree in Criminal Justice.
The CIA recruited him right after graduation and he rose quickly through the ranks. Soon after joining the CIA, he was assigned to work with Buck Wilmington. The two became fast friends and Buck introduced Chris to Sarah Connelly, whom he soon married.
After two years of marriage, Sarah gave birth to a son, Adam. Chris�s wife and son died in a house fire eight years later, which sent him into a downward spiral. Although the incident was declared accidental, Chris had his doubts. Because of his obsession with the case, he was asked to retire from the Agency.
Chris�s long-time friend, Buck Wilmington, stayed with him through it and helped put him back on track. Soon, Chris had settled into working at a college for a while. However, he found the work unfulfilling and wanted to return to the Agency.
When the Anti-Intelligence Organization was judged to be a threat, Assistant Deputy Director Orrin Travis called him out of early retirement in order to lead the team. More than ready to get back in the game, Chris quickly agreed, so long as he had final say on the members of his team.
Chris now lives in a small house in Georgetown with his foster brother, Vin Tanner. Marcus and Carol still live on a horse ranch in Texas, although Marcus is now retired from the military. Chris's codename was given to him because of the way he tends to run roughshod over the rules set forth by the Agency. |
