Buck grew up in Nevada. His mother was a prostitute and a showgirl. She was a tremendous influence on how he views and treats women.
After he got out of high school, he joined the United States Army where he received some of the training he employs in his work with the Agency. He was in the Army for seven years before he was recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency. Within a couple years of joining he met Chris and the two quickly became close friends. Buck introduced Chris to a long time friend, Sarah Connelly and stood up for his friend when the two were married.
Two years later, Buck became the godfather to their child, Adam. When Sarah and Adam were killed, Buck stuck by Chris and pulled him back from the edge of insanity. When Chris was forced to resign from the Agency, Buck continued to look for the real cause of the fire that took the lives of Larabees wife and child.
When Chris was tapped to lead the team, Buck was the first person he asked to join it. Buck is the person the team turns to when they need to watch someone closely. He has taken it upon himself to watch out for JD. Right now, Buck is living in an apartment provided by the Agency, across the hall from JD Dunne. Buck's codename comes from the fact that he is a surveillence expert and can often be found sitting in "the catbird's seat." (thanks, Lisa!) |
