| Amanda Standish is the only child of Ezra and Melinda Standish. She is a very intelligent girl and is currently enrolled in a pre-school geared "to help gifted children reach their full potential." According to her father (and a few prominent psychiatrists) she is a musical prodigy. She is able to sing (Remembering the words and almost on key, which is quite a feat for a four-year-old!) as well as play (kind of) the piano and the violin. Her musical abilities are no surprise, since her mother was well known in the Washington area as a singer and musican (under the name Linda Childe) and her father is also musically talented. Amanda is in all ways a loving, caring, sweet and innocent little girl. She cares deeply for her father and it was this deep, abiding love that brought him back from the brink of insanity after his wife died. |
