It's a Knockout
On Friday 12th July, we held our last meeting for this term - an 'It's a Knockout' inter-Patrol Challenge. Catherine had warned us in advance to bring a towel with us - so we all wondered what was planned!!

We had (most of!) 3 Patrols present (the seniors were all away) so we had 3 teams, two with 4 Guides and one with 5.

For most games we were awarded 5 points for a win, 3 points for coming second and 1 point for third. On the water games the points were 3 for winning, 2 for second and 1 for third with 2 bonus points for the team who collected the most water. The Patrol Challenge the points were 3 for winning, 2 for second and 1 for third. We also had a 'Joker' - we could only play this once and had to tel Liz before the game started when we wanted to play it, but on the game we played it we got double points!

These are the games we played.

   Three-legged Race

   Water relay with sponges

    Ball and Spoon race

    Water relay with leaky cups

    DRINK AND BISCUIT BREAK

Water relay with bags (over and under)

    Patrol Challenge
              Who can jump the furthest
              Who can throw the highest
              Who can jump the highest
Who can hit the target with a beanbag
Who can stand on one leg the longest

    Water relay with leaky bags

Water relay with leaky bags (over and under)

During the last 2 games Catherine and Liz used the sponges to flick water at      us and we got very wet on the last game as the holes in the bags were big and when we passed them over our heads it was like being in a cold shower!! We all had a good time though.

The results were as follows

The Little Angels 20 Points
The Gotcha Girls 35 points
...And the winners - The Tweenies 39 points.

The winners got 3 little bags of sweets each and the other 2 Patrols got 2 bags of sweets each!!

We all had a brillant time and we will be back for more brillant times in September!!
