Chakka was abused and abandoned near an apartment complex. He was skin and bones, and although he never scratched or bit, he shook uncontrollably when anyone tried to pet him, and would cringe with his tail between his legs whenever a hand came near him It was 6 months before he felt safe enough in his new home before he would "knead", and a full year before he purred! My mother took him in and gave him all the love and attention he needed and deserved, but now it is time for him to find a family to adopt him. Will you give him a chance at a new life?

Amber was resuced when my mother received a phone call from a woman in animal control. An adult female cat who was living near an apartment complex had been taken to the pound. One of the tenants there had been feeding her and she was quite tame. The property management company decided they were going to eliminate the stray problem by poisoning her- and her five newborn kittens! They were taken to the pound and my mother took in and cared for several of the kittens until they were old enough to be adopted- all are gone but sweet little Amber. Will you give her a good home?
