	AUTOMAG VS AUTOCOCKER... THE NEVER ENDING DEBATE... UNTILL NOW

Many people would say that mags and cockers are basicly the same thing. I would generally dissagree. I have shot both mag and cocker. I own a mag. I like mags better (obviously, because i spent all my time on this site!!!!!), but looking at it at a different way...people say that cockers will keep up with automags. That is not true. Take an emag, put it on full auto, and what do you have?! A gun shooting in the high 20 bps area. Slap a 400 dollar electro frame on an already 1500 dollar cocker and what do you have? a gun that is still shooting in the low 20's, and is chopping every other ball. Mags are now back on top of the food chain. Why? because of all the new stuff that is available for them. Lets look at this money wise. Take a stock classic mag for 230 bucks, slap on a 200 dollar retro valve (make you shoot REALLY FAST), 70 dollar level 10 (makes you not chop), a good barrel for oh, lets say 100 dollars, a 100 dollar frame, nitro for for 78 bucks,a revvi for 50 bucks, warp feed for 180 bucks, and there you have it! a gun that can keep up with the FASTEST of the FASTEST for just 1008 dollars. with a 400 dollar firestorm electro kit for the cocker, you are still only firing 14 bps!!!! NOW, take a stock cocker for 300 bucks, put on a front pnumonic system for 170 bucks to keep the gun running alright, a 300 dollar electro conversion kit, a 180 dollar warp, a 50 dollar revvi, the same 100 dollar barrel, the same 78 dollar nitro tank, a new bolt for 80 bucks, and you have a cocker that is drasticly behind the mag in balls per second for a grand total of 1278. My friend and I went paintballing the other day and he had a nice system x cocker, and i had my poor little mag with barely anything cool on it, and i was not only outshooting him, I only broke about 4 balls the whole day. He had to sit out about 5-6 games trying to fix his gun. Mags are WAY more efficiant than cockers. All you have to do once in a while is put some gun oil in the appropriate holes (shows you in mag manual), and dry fire a few times. THERE YOU HAVE IT! you cleaned your gun. There is so much stuff to wory about with autocockers. one thing goes wrong, its very expensive to fix. Here is some input from a member of pbreview.com on mags vs cockers- If an autococker fires more accurately from a closed bolt, then a 20 dollar talon is as accurate as a $300 and up autococker right? Automags are the only gun with a specific patent on its A.I.R. , X and RETRO valve. How many companies make like poducts within the same idea for the valve? One, airgun designs. How many with an autococking device? about 20. And sear tripper blowbacks are countless. Everyone and their brother have made one at least. -shinobidice The next argument I hear is that cockers are WAY more accurate than mags. NO WAY!
