Coloured tulle and coordinated tissue paper look striking when used together. First, wrap the package in the same colour tissue paper as the tulle. Cut a sheet of tulle large enough so that you can gather it around the gift and tie with a bow. Gather the tulle towards the centre of the package and secure with a ribbon bow. Bows made from wired ribbon look great with this method.

Baskets are a true sign of country. My mum is the "Queen of Basket Decorating" You may use a basket to give baked goods to a friend in, or you may use it to hold a gift for someone. Use Christmas fabric cut to size to line the basket. When it comes to decorating the outside of the basket, let your imagination go. You may use a glue gun to attach dried flowers, holly, floral picks. Wind ribbon around the handle and edge for additional decoration. Hang a cute ornament in the centre of the handle and let it dangle. Cut images from fabric and use a glue gun to attach them to the outside of the basket. The list is endless of how you may decorate a basket.

Wired ribbon is one of my favourite things to use. It is so easy to manage. You can twist it into nearly any shape you can think of. Bows made from cloth wired ribbon may also be used to decorate your home and wreaths, if you wish. They look great on presents and may be used again and again. They are sure to be appreciated by the lucky person who receives one.

Plain brown paper can be a great wrapping medium, especially for children. You may stencil designs on it for decoration, rubber stamp a design, cut images from fabric and secure with spray adhesive, use cookie cutters dipped in paint and stamp a design on, use glitter glue to draw a picture on it or use fabric paint to paint a picture.

Brown paper bags or coloured plain bags are also fun to use. You may use the same ideas above for the brown paper bags. For the coloured bags, images cut from fabric and secured with spray adhesive look quiet nice. If you want to go all out, use a hole punch to punch evenly spaced holes around the top of the bag. Lace ribbon through the holes and tie in a bow at the front of the bag.
