TUCSON, ARIZONA

We are happy to announce that Tucson will host it's Second Annual CHD Awareness Day at the Reid Park Zoo from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 16th. Please feel free to stop by and visit. We will have HeartLight t-shirts for sale. Free admission to all CHD families.

TORONTO, ONTARIO

CHASE is hosting a reception in the Rotunda at the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children. The events will take place from 9:00 - 3:00 pm. Presentations will begin at 10:00 am. Speakers featured are Dr Andrew Redington, Chief of Cardiology at HSC, Dr Gary Webb, Cardiologist at TGH and head of the CACHnet (Adult Network), Grace Bennet a young chd'er, and a member of the Make A Wish Foundation. Displays will be set up from CHASE, Make A Wish, CACHnet and nursing staff from TGH and HSC. We will also have a player from the Toronto Raptors basketball team signing autographs from 12:30 - 1:30. Families and CHASE members will be available to meet with the press for about 1 hour.

HSC is holding a radiothon from Feb 12 - 14 in the Garden Terrace (Atrium)with 3 radio stations, MIX 99.9, CFRB and EasyRock. All the money raised at the radiothon will be donated to the HSC - Cardiology department. I h ave already pretaped interviews and will be doing interviews on Feb 14th with all 3 stations.

At 7:00 pm CHASE is hosting a children's party in the Bear Theatre at HSC. We have a clown and a singing act for entertainment. Dinner, snacks, crafts and activities and prizes for all the kids. Patients from the hospital as well as outside families will be in attendance.

I am still awaiting confirmation of the Ontario Premier sending a plaque or something and the Prime Ministers Office doing or sending something.
