My HEARTS page
umm...i'm almost a high school graduate!!! let's see....22 days and counting!!! okay, now, to show you how much time i have on my hands, read on....
Hey everybody!! I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you guys for making my years at HEARTS memorible!! I'll never forget all the fun we've had over the years; the jokes, songs, games, and talks will forever be memories I will cherish! Thought you guys would enjoy this stupid little thing I wrote...a little reminder of all the fun times that we've had over the years!!

Father God, as I embark on this journey ahead of me, help me to be a light in the darkness. I have needed HEARTS "like water, like breathe, like rain," but I know that it is time for me to move on. I have made the best of friends here and I know that all my friends will be there when I need them; my family at HEARTS will always be the first to jump in and say "Lean on me, when you're not strong, I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on...for, FIVE, it won't be long, SHORT, till I'm gonna need, ELBOW, somebody to lean on." DUDE What the heck?!?! I need to stop crying! Graduating isn't the end of the world!! I guess you could just say that I am mad. You guys need to stop building "me up buttercup baby, just to let me down, and mess me around!" Cause "I need you, more than anyone darling, you know that i have from the start!" So, EVERYBODY SHUT UP!! I need to stop thinking of graduation as a sad day, but as an O Happy Day!! I even thought about singing the fan song! "You put your finger in the fan, you loose your finger, you put your toe in the fan, you loose your toe..." But that's only fun if we're in the Springfield Wendy's!!...You know what?? You need to stop pointing your finger in the direction that you want me to go, 'cause I don't give a darn!!...Okay, let's get this party started!!! Everybody up, we're going to sing the HAPPY SONG!! Because we need to "shout it out, from every roof top sing" that we need to move on and be a HEARTS for Jesus our whole lives...we don't need to be in high school to do that! Oh! Paul, what time is it?? It must be getting late! Let's get *cough* on with it!! It's been fun!! I love you guys!! Each and every one of you has a special place in my heart...I'm always going to miss the fun times that I've had as a student:
Senior High Banquets - especially this year! Jeremy, you ruled the dance floor! J.O., it's always fun to watch you work the croud! BTW: Did you have fun dancing with Bethany?!?! Watching you two dance around the room was priceless! Claire, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Paul & Bethany, it was an honor to sit with the "smart people"!! To everyone at my table, you guys are the best people in the world to sit with!! There's never a dull moment when I'm with you all!!
Cedarville Trips - WOW!! This was by far the best Cedarville trip ever! Bethany, what a voice! Gina, I couldn't have asked for a better roommate! Hannah, you're a great tap dancer...but then again, you were learning from the best!! And Anthony, you need to stop wearing white!
Concerts - They have all been fun, but the Spring Concert was by far the best I've ever been to! Bethany, Collin and I are very proud of you! You gave both songs your all! I don't know which one was better, but "O Happy Day" was AWESOME!! Paul, it's over, it's done! Are we ready to go? Are we ready to move on?
Recitals - to the other readers theater group - you guys were amazing! There's no questioning the fact that you deserved that trophy! Jeremy & Pete, who really is on first?!?! You two were great! I'm still laughing!
Speech Meets - We finally found Eloise's Diner and it was open! Getting ice cream with everybody was the highlight of the day! Bethany, your pants "dilemma" certainly added some excitement to the day! I never knew it could be so hard to find a pair of scissors or a knife! Tom, again, even though you weren't there, it's all your fault! BTW: Once you go khaki, you never go back!
Spelling Bees - I'm still disappointed that I missed it this year! Jeremy, I heard you took care of my room - thanks! Gees! That's two years in a row that you've helped me out! Last year you sat with me in that long, dark hallway for an hour and a half and this year you took over some of my stuff since I was home sick! I owe you one! Bethany, did you have fun without me?? :)
Phone Conversations - Bethany, I could talk to you for hours!
Emails - Bethany, sometimes I think we should print all the emails out and make them into a book!
Choir Practices - Boy, we always sound good in the Schleas' living room! Paul, how late was Bethany again? 11 minutes? And Bethany, use the back door!
Friday Classes - Choir is by far my favorite! Worship time is awesome! Basses, we can't hear you! Open your mouths! Collin, Anthony, and J.O., I think I'm going to call you guys "The Three Musketeers" from now on!
Speech Practice over lunch - I don't know what was funnier: everyone reading someone else's lines (Paul, wonderful Madwoman impression!) or Anthony bossing Ben around! I think they're tied! And Paul, for the record, we didn't order too much pizza!!
Junior/Senior Parties - Ice skating and bowling were both a lot of fun! Playing tag was great - until I got pushed, JEREMY!! Tom, thanks for helping me up, but it's still all your fault! Paul, thanks for teaching me how to keep score, even though it took me forever to catch on!
EVERYTHING!! I've had a blast each year that I've been in HEARTS, but I think this past year surpasses the rest!! I think that I will always remember HEARTS as the way it has been for the past two years - I've never had so much fun! So, hey kiddo, don't rush growing up. It will all to soon be time to walk across the stage and receive your diploma; when that time comes, you will be ready, but you will be sad to leave. So, Mrs. Schlea, for old time's sake, can we sing it again??
