you are serving in an active lodge, your movements alluring, bawdy spirited not rote..think of being in your home or serving in a friends home...(well. a VERY SEXY Friends Home)
bond serves are less bound by "steps" and "protocol"than determined by the Free you are serving. here are some things that may help you. It is very rare for a bondmaid to be found on the furs unless she is with a Jarl or sleeping ..usually we are moving around ...serving, preparing food
- Bonds offer to serve from whereever they are and do not kneel
- Bonds move from the hall to the kitchen through a large open doorway
- No testing for mars and nics
- No shining up of vessels/plates
- There are Horns placed at the tables, but we can get a "special vessel", fill it and -return or use the horn placed at the table.
- Bowls, Kantharos, Mugs, Goblets, Cups are all in the normal place on shelves in the kitchen
Notes on Serving:
No testing for poisons or asking to test (that would presume that somehow the Jarl might be serving poisonous food or drink)
Jarls we serve from the back and to the left(Sword is on Their Right generally)we press our breasts to Their Back, whisper in Their Ears or hazard as seat on Their Thigh or even can sit on the table in front of them...but never sit the bench beside a Jarl unless permissions are given
FW we serve by easing our bums to the bench at Their Side or if They are Standing...we stand at Their Side
Personalize the toast in a natural way
Assume once you have received the response to your toast that you are released to serve others
You can greet and hold conversation while you are serving
When a Free comes in from 'outside' (Guest, Stranger, pledged member) a bowl of warm water and a rep can be offered to them. Depending on the circumstances it can be to wash/warm up from being out of doors, a means to freshen up after a long trip or to welcome and show hospitality to guests.
Serving Examples
1)Upon entering the Lodge offer first an entry post.
This is your time to shine, you can include lil details about yourself, maybe the weather outside, your mood etc. You can include things like moving to remove outdoor clothes and even your kirtle in this post ....be creative ~*grinning*~.
Example
~*~as she neared the Lodge her footsteps quickened and the sound of booted feet crunching along the snowy path rose in an almost melodic tone....brushing a hand to the large temwood door she pushed it wide and stepped within....eyes swept the room and a bright smile rose on lush lips as she quickly closed the heavy door and made her way to the pegs to quickly undress....soon boots were placed neatly agaisnt the wall and she was reaching up on tiptoe to hang both cloak and kirtle on one of the pegs....then as she found the pads of small feet she quickly ran fingers through long silken tresses and with a joyful heart twirled and stepped within...feeling the warmth wrapping round her as eyes danced as they found those present~*~
2)Greet all Free individually...(using the order of Greeting)
After your intitial post please greet all Free individually using the drop down. The Lodge is known for its hospitality and that 'personal touch'. This allows you to interact with them initally and you can add your well wishes to each Free even if just for a few moments.
Example
~*~shimmering eyes find You across the busy Lodge and a bright smile lights along lush lips as she offers sweet voice to her greetings~*~
Greetings Jarl, she is pleased to see You this beautiful day.....she hopes it finds You well
(you can add your own special touch to this, maybe the Free has retrurned from a trip etc and you might add that into their personal greeting.)
Greet bonds
If there are less than five bonds greet individually using the drop down
If there are more bonds in the Lodge and it is busy please use a single post to 'greet all bonds'.
3)After greeting move to the fires and fetch a pitcher of paga and one of mead and approach each Free (once more using the greeting order) and ask Paga or mead Jarl? or might she fetch something else ***
***As you learn the Free and their preferences you may ask them if they prefer their usual...say an ale, tea, blackwine etc
If they wish either the offered paga or mead you already have a pitcher of each and can now add your individual flare to serving such and pleasing each Free.
Example
~*~moving toward the fire with a sultry rock of full hips that sends long waves of silken hair to tickle naked flesh she let out a soft little mewl as she felt the heat of the fire....wrapping a hand around a copper pitcher of mead and one of paga she eased them from the grate and turning stepped toward the tables....moving with a natural flow she stepped to His left and behind Him...brushing aginst His strong back lightly as she breaths Him in before leaning to speak softly near His ear~*~
Paga or mead Jarl? or might she fetch something else
((If they do wish Paga or mead, place the other pitcher to the table and reach for the horn at their place (if horn is not in their hand it will be resting in a holder atop the table) fill and offer horn to them with the toast. )))

~*~a small moan as she pushes herself back from Him and that soft touch of Him against her ....stepping round Him in sensual motion she sets the pitcher of mead to the table and brushing a bare hip to His reaches for the horn....small fingers wrapping round the girth of it tightly before she eases it slowly from the holder and to her grasp....tipping the pitcher of paga she carefully fills the belly of it and right before that strong potent brew reaches the rim she eases it back to stop the flow....nestling the pitcher beside the other atop the table ....smal hands encircle the girth of the horn as she step once more behind Him and presses to that hard back of His....soft lil groan rising from the depth of her throat as full ripe breasts are crushed to Him.....offering the horn up to Him as soft lips find His earlobe and brush teasingly before she whispers huskily~*~
Your paga Jarl, she hopes it pleases and brings much pleasure this night.
(Once they have received it and respond you move to collect the two pitchers and move on to the next Free)
If the Free wishes something other than paga or mead use a two post serve such as the example below.

~*~with a lil wink to You she slides from that press of herself against Your back and prowls along the tables toward the fire....full hips moving in sultry rock ...long flowing mane brushing against naked form......small mewl of pure delight as the warmth of the fire rushes up to kiss wanton flesh....placing both pitchers atop the rack to warm once more she glanced over a shoulder to You and her heart beat faster as she drank Your form in...rising up onto the balls of small feet she turned and moved toward the kitchen to fetch Your blackwine....slipping through the wide doorway to kitchens embrace before she came to pause before the shelfs....sparkling eyes searching the rows of cups...searching for that perfect one.....a small cry of delight as they alight on a large cup with crossed swords emblazoned on the side...rising up to tiptoes she reached up with a small hand....fingers embracing the cup she eased it to the kiss of soft palm and brought it to herself....lowering down to the pads of feet she danced to the kitchen hearth and the waiting kettle of blackwine....taking ladle in small grip she stirred the dark strong drink before filling the cup....with it held close to her beating heart she twirled and retraced her steps through the kitchen and into the mainroom.....eyes searching those gathered tl they find You once more before stepping through the doorway and to You
~*~moving along the benches with that slinkng prowl....heart seeming to beat faster with each step as she nears You...belly tightening and when she nears You a small breath is drawn in and held as she breaths in the essense of Your....pressing closer she slides one hand from the cup and brushes it against Your arm...delicate fingers trail and tease that muscled bicept on its journey to Your shoulder...with a teasing flow of her form she steps behind You...a small little purr slips from crimson lips to play near Your ear as she presses full ripe breasts to Your strong back and brings the mug to You.....leaning to Your side lush lips place soft kisses along Your jaw line then to earlobe before husky whisper rushes and warm breath teases with each word~*~
this one brings Your blackwine Jarl, she hopes it pleases and warms You this day
If a Free person comes in from 'outside' (from outside of the Lodge, not a guest room, this included guests to the Lodge). Greet them and ask if they wish a bowl of warm water and cloth to wash away their journey, in that same post offer them food and drink. If they wish both fetch the bowl of water and cloth and set it to the table before them before moving to fetch their food or drink.
Example
~*~hearing the door open she turns as eyes sweep to You as a warm smile is offered, watching as You step into the Great Hall and are welcomed within she adds her greetings to those offered~*~
Greetings Jarl, welcome to the Great Lodge
this one hopes Your journey was a safe one, might she fetch You a bowl of warm water to wash and warm Youself? If You thirst or hunger might she be permitted to serve You drink...food as well?
~*~warm smile offered as she rises on the balls of her feet and slips to the kitchen...feet dancing over the floor as shapley hips sway sensually and long hair teases naked curves.....easing a large temwood bowl from the shelfs she settles it to tabletop as she moves to collect first a pitcher of cool water then one of hot....carefully she fills the bowl with a good measure from each pitcher before carefully testing the temperature of the water with the tip of a finger....lil grin as its just right.....a fluffy rep is then found and folded lengthwise and draped over her wrist....hands wrap round the belly of the temwood bowl and its lifted and held close to her before she makes her way back into the Great Hall and to You...easing to Your left ...her leg brushing agaisnt the bench You sit upon she eases the bowl to the table and offers a teasing grin as she lifts the towel from a delicate wrist and sets it upon Your thigh with a teasing lil brush of fingers along Your strong thigh before speaking~*~
this one brings You water to wash and warm Yourself Jarl while she fetchs Your mead
you would then slip from them and proceed with fetching their drink and or food.
***If the Lodge is not busy and you can give them more undivided attention you may wish to use a three post longer serve.
Serving greeting when its quiet
Offer your entry post
Greet the Free individually using the greeting order and the drop down
greet the bonds
Fetch pitchers and /or offer service to the Free individually (using the greeting order)
If a Free person comes in from 'outside' (Pledged or guest). Greet them and ask if they wish a bowl of warm water and cloth to wash away their journey, in that same post offer them food and drink. If they wish both fetch the bowl of water and cloth and set it to the table before them before moving to fetch their food or drink.
Serving, greeting, offer of hospitality when its busy
For those occasions when the Lodge is busy it can be difficult to keep track of everyone and everything, posts can scroll by so fast for everyone so with that in mind:
if you come into the lodge and there are more than One Free...and you are the only bond Greet your Owner or the most Senior FM and offer service in the same post.
While you are waiting for His/Her answer you can greet the other Free. If you are unable to offer greetings to all do not worry as you can then either greet them while offering service to the next Senior FM or when you are able to offer them individual service.
Also when its SUPER busy or you are alone it become hard to know Who has come in from 'outside' simply greet and offer service to the individual Free.
