Some have been included for general knowledge puposes and/or may even contain quotes from other scrolls to give a broader picture or example of that specific item.

If we look at the very nature of Torvaldsland and its warriors/sailors the various food could very well find their way into the diet of northern people. Some items may be every day items while others may be considered specialty items favoured by a Jarl or obtained for feasts etc. Some foods will be obtained by raiding or even trade with salt being an important trade commodity and plentiful in the north.
