Oklahoma Trip Notes:
These are highlights of our bicycle trip across America.  There is no way that we can relate EVERYTHING that has happened out here.  We talk to dozens of people each day about the Lord---at stores, parks, along the side of the road, everywhere that we go.  The following are examples of some of the awesome ways that the Lord is moving out here.

September 7th---We left Bartlesville OK today and rode 60 miles to Tulsa. This is our record so far!  It was only about 45 miles to Tulsa, and then another 15 across town.  We hadn't found any where to camp and it was almost 9:00pm.  Christopher saw a church (Evangelistic Temple) off to the left that had a light on.  We rode over there and found that they were having a singles meeting.  They told us to camp in the back of the building in the playground.

September 8th---We fellowshipped at Evangelistic Temple and were able to share in the singles class.  The word that the Lord spoke was an encouragement to several of the people to step out and do what God had been asking them to do.
That afternoon, we rode about 10 miles to Oakhurst.  We fellowshipped at Oakhurst Baptist Church.  The pastor was obedient to the Spirit and had Jim preach.  The Holy Spirit moved on the people and many exciting things happened, including a guy being delivered and set free from alcohol.  One guy was healed of a nerve disorder.  After the service a young lady came up to us and told us that what we were saying and what we do really touched her life.  She was raised Catholic and her husband is Baptist.  She's been coming to church with him but it never really made sense.  She committed her life totally to Christ tonight and now has hope!

September 10th---1000 miles!!! We arrived in Stroud OK today--our 1000 mile mark!  A month ago I never would have imagined that I could ride a bicycle this far or how much God would use us by being obedient to Him!
They were having a 911 tent revival in town.  We went.  The speaker was an Arab that knows Jesus.  We went two nights and were able encourage alot of people and be encouraged.   The City Manager even opened the Fire Station for us to take showers and said that if there was any thing that the city could do for us, let him know.
During the revival they had a luncheon each day at the church.  During the luncheon, the guest speaker--Anis Sherrosh started telling the ladies about this great diet plan.  Then he had us stand up and told them all to bring their bikes and follow us across America and they would lose weight!  It was quite funny.

September 13th--15th--We spent a couple of days in Ada OK.  We got there late Friday and spent the night in a church yard.  On Saturday we rode around the city and prayed.  We were able to talk to alot of people.  We talked to a group of teen-agers that were hanging out on Main Street.  Later we ran into one of them by himself and were able to share more in depth.  His name was Chuck and he was searching for the reality of God.  He made some decisions for Christ that day!
Saturday evening the clouds started rolling in and it was getting late.  We found out that we could camp at the fairgrounds.  We had barely gotten things set up when the clouds broke open and sheets of rain came down with thunder, lightning and wind.  It didn't last too long but Praise God we were secure!
Sunday we fellowshipped at Trinity Baptist Church.  We attended both services. The Pastor preached a right on sermon about repentance.  During the second service the kids went to Sunday School.  They were able to share in their classes what God was doing out here on the road.  Ashley was bombarded with questions and took up three fourths of the class time.  She encouraged the youth to step out and witness for Christ.
After service we went to dinner with the Pastor, his family, the youth pastor and a few others.  Then we spent the afternoon with the youth pastor.  It was an awesome time of fellowship.
Ada Continued---The youth pastor, Beau was a real encouragement to us.
We went to the PM service and were able to share with quite a few people.  We spent the night with a couple from the church.  The Lord had us sharing about trusting Him.  He moved on their heart that they needed to trust Him more in their lives.

September 17th--We rode across the Oklahoma--Texas bridge today!  It was about two miles across the Red River.  See Texas for more about how God is moving out here on the road.
We would love to hear from you!
