Great Salt Plains Wildlife Refuge
The Great Salt Plains Wildlife Refuge, Lake, and Selenite Crystal Digging Area are located near the town of Jet, Oklahoma in the northwest quadrant of the state.  It is the only place in the world where you can find salt crystals with hourglass-shaped inclusions.  The salt flats formed millions of years ago, and they are now home to many endangered bird species.
