I hope investigators can look at these pages and make a self determination about Mormonism. These pages go far beyond what the missionaries will tell you. The missionaries, themselves, have been deliberately sheltered from many of the LDS, Mormon, religion facts.
For those who are currently a happy member of the LDS faith, I should suggest you not read further. What is said here will destroy your testimony. However, if you are concerned about the future of your family and the future of those who follow you, then, yes, do read on.
I was baptized into the religion at about age 21. After studying the religion over many years (I'm now 66), I find it's inconsistencies. We did not have a large income. Mormonism favors the rich. Instead of building self-esteem, I found Mormonism was tearing down my self-esteem. Likewise, instead of building a stronger family, it was tearing apart our family. Only if you were rich could you live happily with the LDS religion.
Worse, once baptized into the religion you found there was no door to exit. You couldn't leave. You soon found yourself compelled to entrap your entire family by encouraging them to also join the religion. Only after several years of inattention to where all this was leading, does one finally discover the permanent, ugly psychological scars.
No wonder. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the Mormons, have made great effort to suppress, even cover up and hide information from its membership as well as the world. The most death-strewn religious movement in America has been Mormonism. 700 died at Winter Quarters, Illinois. Scores more lost lives in the swamps at Nauvoo. Countless more were lost in battles amongst their non-Mormon neighbors. Many were murdered for little other reason than non-belief or non-support of their Mormon leaders. Under the guise of "persecution," the LDS movement continued it's lawless plunder wherever it landed.
The bloody record continued with the LDS movement into Utah. The Mountain Meadow Massacre near Cedar City killed another 120 innocent immigrants passing through Utah on their way to California -- most murdered by Mormon settlers under direct orders from higher authorities in the LDS Church. Today, the LDS, Mormon, religion continues to take its psychological "death" toll. Thousands of members are now entrapped into the religion. Many want out but can't find a way out. Thousands are seeking recovery. Many wander in confusion for years. The Mormon record is shocking for anyone peeking in and merely looking.
Only those who dare read beyond what the LDS hierarchy want you to know will one discover this terribly black side of Mormonism.
