PRATS have every reason to party on V-Day as they both celebrate their birthday on Feb. 14. Call it
coincidence that this youthful stars share the same birthday, but surely, it took more than chance when
they paired together as a love team. And more definitely did it take more than luck when sparks start to
flicker, chemistry adiates, and soon enough, theirs became the hottest love team in tinseltown.

In their more than two years of being a love team, Heart and John have dismissed countless rumors
on any romantic leaning, insisting that their relationship is purely platonic. Whenever asked about the real
score, one will either get John's sigh or Heart's syrupy smile, then in chorus will say "we're just friends."
But despite the denials, it wouldn't take a genius to glean how these two young stars develop a certain
fondess with each other; fondess that fans hope to be transformed into real romance.

Now that Heart and John are about to gain a year older (with Heart approaching the legal age of 18),
could we expect a pleasant transition of their relationship from pure friendship to real love? Read on as this
sweet pair shares snippets of sentiments on love and find out how their views complement each other's. FINDING THE ONE
Heart and John may still be young to think of settling down with their dream partners but even though, at their age, both already have a concrete idea of the "must-be" their special someone ought to be. "Physically, I want a mestizo. When it comes to character, he must be hard-working and caring," says Heart. On top of these, Heart longs for someone who is "a good son and someone who's mahilig magbiro," two traits that happen to be the same qualities she describes John as having. And what about John's preferences? He used to have this certain liking for Spanish mestiza girls. But he does not hide his crush for Heart. And to think Heart is chinita. That is why John is left inn bewilderment why for now, he has set aside his fondess for mestiza girls. But apart from the physical qualities, John is certain of the impact. Heart's personality has on him. "she's the girl who's not afraid or scared to say what she likes. I like her being frank and honest even to the point of being sharp. Maybe it's because I like older girls who carry conversations with me. And for her age, Heart can already take matured conversations." While John has been quite open with his feelings for Heart, Love Marie (Heart's real name), on the other hand, leaves a certain mystery waiting to be unraveled. "I want my guy to start as friend to me. In that case, he will have time to find out my real personality. He must learn how to look beyond my being an artist before he can understand me," Heart expresses in certainty. Now if you think Heart is being too much of an idealist, wait `till you read this. "He must have eyes only for me, put me on the pedestal of his heart, and he must show me that loving me can make a difference in his life." So, is John reading?
Perhaps Heart's requirements for her ideal man may be too high but it is because once her heart is won, this lovely debutant would give the kind of love that would mostly endear her to her man."When I fall in love with a person, he will become my whole world. I will not do anything to hurt him, and I will swear to give all the patience he needs." John, on the other hand, would pattern his kind of loving to that of his dad's. "I believe in what my dad says that following your heart does not diminish your manhood. It is very important na nirerespeto ng lalaki ang bababeng minamahal niya. At dapat handa ang lalake na i-give-up ang kahit na ano for the sake of his love for this girl. For me, loving means losing your pride, agreeing to compromise in favor of the person you love," John says in a dreamy voice. To which Heart reacts in an equally-pensive tone. "Sa akin love is an emotion to which one has no control. It flashes like a lightning.
When you recognize the feeling that you love someone, you try to change to become a better person. You become inspired to be changed (for the better) by the person you love." As one can glean from their statements, it seems that Heart and John are all ready for real love. Sure, crushes will always be there. But as Heartturns 18 and John 19 on the universal celebration of life on Feb.14, one can expect both will be ready the for some serious relationship. And once they're ready, fans could only hope it will be with one another.
