Jesus Himself states that we need to be baptized, "He that believeth and is BAPTIZED shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned." Mark 16:16.
The question is a simple one, how does The Bible say that a Christian should be baptized ?
A Christian should be baptized by FULL IMMERSION in water, as this is a symbol of death (to self) burial and resurrection.
As the believer goes down beneath the water this is like as unto being buried - when we bury a dead person we cover them completely with earth.
As the believer comes up out of the water this is like as unto rising from the dead unto new life.
The Christian should be baptized in the name of JESUS CHRIST as per Acts 2:38 + 8:16 + 10:48 + 19:5.
As JESUS CHRIST is the NAME of The Father and of The Son and of The Holy Ghost.
Thereby fulfiling the commandment of Jesus in Matthew 28:19.
