There are people in this life
that you meet, and they go on their
way...and you go on yours. I call
those acquaintences.
Every now and then, however, you
meet someone you bond with on every
level. You know you want to keep
them around. They make you complete.
I call THOSE folks TRUE friends.
Such is the case with my friend, Tammy
"Punky" Childs. Tammy reminds me of
SPRING...you know how the house gets
all musty and stale during the winter-
and then Spring comes. You throw open
the windows...and suddenly everything
is bright, beautiful and clean again.
That's how I feel when I'm around
Punky...she brings a new feeling into
a room. A great feeling.
We have shared so many giggles, tears
fears, secrets -- she probably knows
more about me than I sometimes admit
to knowing about myself. Yet in spite
of my flaws, she chooses to stick
beside me, and walk with me through
life's hurdles -- thick or thin.
I value her like a true sister...for
she NEVER fails to keep me on the
right track...and I admire her
dedication to her family. She's
a single Mom, yet she's managed
to keep her family together -- and
she does a great job!
I have many acquaintences that I
am friendly with -- I have some
that I correspond with from time
to time...and then there are those
FRIENDS that I talk to regularly.
Punky is one of the latter. We
definitely keep the phone lines hot...
and when we're not on the phone,
we're emailing each other.
I am blessed to have such a dear,
precious friend in my corner...for
she has made ME a better person --
JUST by knowing her.
I love ya, dear sis...and if you
ever decide to change your nickname...
I've got one for ya...SPUNKY!!!!!
You have more backbone, more love,
more understanding and caring
for the Lord than I've seen in a
very long time...and I am so PROUD
of you and all you've accomplished.
Love,
Brynn
