| "The Heartbreak Cafe" is a comedy/drama that has run on cable television in Orange County San Diego and Los Angeles since 1997. Positions are now available for actors, extras and crew.
Actors, extras and crew who are chosen for �The Heartbreak Caf� must enroll in an Irvine Valley College class (more information on this at the auditions). Actors may only register after they have auditioned and been accepted. Crew members must have an interview with the instructor prior to being accepted and registering for the class. ACTORS Being an actor on the show is based on auditions that will be held from 10am � Noon on Friday, August 11. Please bring a picture and resume to the audition (Polaroid pictures are acceptable). The audition will be comprised of a cold reading from the script. Actors may not appear in all episodes. AS AN ACTOR YOU WILL: � Have exposure on television in ten cable markets in Los Angeles, San Diego and Orange counties � Be seen by casting directors, agents, and directors for independent films � Work in a studio and location format � Have the opportunity to purchase copies of the shows for your demo reels � Learn all technical and acting skills to work on television and film CREW MEMBERS Being a crewmember is based on an interview with the instructor, Robert M. Conrad. Appointments are not necessary, but interviews will be conducted the same time and location as the auditions. AS A CREW MEMBER YOU WILL: � Gain valuable experience working in a studio and location setup � Be involved in the many technical aspects of a TV production such as: lighting, sound, camera operation, pre-production and post-production LOCATION Auditions and interviews will be held in the second floor of the Student Services Center (SSC 260) at Irvine Valley College, located at 5500 Irvine Center Drive, in Irvine. Shooting starts in January 2007. Rehearsals and tapings will be on Fridays for 16 weeks and hours will vary. It will be necessary for everyone to be on time and stay until conclusion and the entire day must be blocked out. Agents for the actors must be notified accordingly. |
