My dad is sadly misguided and misinformed. He thinks that any female I spend an excessive amount of time with excluding Joey must be someone that I am seeing. You know for the first month and a half he was convinced that you and I were dating. He laughed.

Dating? You and I? Well, thats well its just crazy! She tried to laugh feeling the embarrassment.

He joined her in her laughter at the thought. Yeah I know. Its like its some kind of social rule that my father has for me, that I just dont seem to live up to. I mean the thought of you and I being more then just friends well you know. He nodded looking over at her.

What? She asked.

He shrugged. Its you know when Ive thought about us being together as a couple thats something

Youve thought about us? She asked letting the humor slowly dissipate out of her voice.

He hesitated. Well, I mean its crossed my mind once or twice. But like you said it would be crazy.

She nodded in agreement. Right Why would it be so crazy? She asked in all seriousness.

He stopped to look at her. Uh I dont know really. I mean have you thought about it?

She didnt say anything for a few seconds looking away into the Autumn night. Yeah I have. I mean you know maybe a few times or so. She let her sentence trail away.

He stared at her. Are we I mean are we really having this conversation? You and me and the tangible concept of dating?

Do you want to have this conversation? She asked cautiously.

 Yeah, I do. He answered.

She smiled after a moment and let a small nervous laugh escape her. Okay you and I have always been blatantly honest with one another and I feel there is no need to stop that now so believe me when I tell you that I like you Dawson. I mean really like you. Not just in a strictly platonic lets be friends type of like either. I mean the whole, I would really like to once we get pass the awkwardness of the situation kiss you, kind of like. She rushed out letting her hands wave around nervously as she paced back and forth in front of him.

He stood there for a moment taking it all in with a smile. Andie Andie! He tried to cut in.

I mean not that what we have isnt great and fantastic because you know I dont have a lot of friends here in Capeside and you are the only real guy friend that I have other then Jack but you know hes my brother so that doesnt really count but you get what Im saying and She went on as if she hadnt heard him almost afraid to stop speaking.

Dawson finally gave up trying to stop her ramble and just grabbed her face between his palms gently, and kissed her firmly on the lips. She froze for just a moment while his lips pressed against hers almost roughly and then eased up a little until he began to gently caress her own. She felt her body relax and let herself fall into him as she gently grabbed his wrists and kissed him back.

When they broke apart he remained close to her as his nose rubbed against hers intimately. It was unbelievable. Wow Was all he could manage with a small laugh and smile.

She cocked her head to one side with a wide grin. Wow? That sounds like a plus. She stated.

Those lips those lips are lethal.

I hope you mean that in a good way. She remarked.

In the very best way, Andie. He whispered. He exhaled deeply trying to get his pulse back under control.

She tried not to blush as she was overcome with giddiness. She had never thought it would feel this good. She had to admit that this went way beyond her expectations and that was saying a lot for her. I well you know She stuttered.

What? He asked.

I just Im so nervous She admitted.

Nervous? Is that good or bad? He asked.

Its so good Its incredible. She whispered looking up into his eyes. He smiled back at her and kissed her lips softly before pulling her close to him into a secure hug.
